Default Keith Aulie

I got to watch Aulie play tonight here in Red Deer. He was very solid for the Wheat Kings. He is not flashy but makes good outlet passes and is a real rock in his own zone. Got caught out of position in the neutral zone a couple of times. I had no idea how big the kid really is.

I remember coming out of the draft he said he has to learn to be more physical. It's great to have a big frame but if you don't use it, it really makes things easier for the other team. How did he look in that department?

My girlfriend got me season tickets for the Rebels for my Birthday; due to Thanksgiving we were able to attend the Firday game against Saskatoon but missed the game the foloowing night vs. the Wheat Kings. I would have loved to watch Aulie play. Is there anything else you noticed about his play on Saturday?

The Wheatkings are a fairly physical team but Aulie didn't throw his weight around that much. He is very solid in his own zone, he always seemed to be in the right position and he also made the right play. If there wasn't an outlet pass he used the boards.
