I lived with my auntie for 8 month's and she also had telus tv. My biggest beef was that every other day I had to reset the modem for the channels to work.

I've had it for a few months now and it's ok. But I really don't watch much TV so you probably don't want to put too much stock in my answer. In the winter though, I watch TV alot more. The day it screws me for a Flames game or if it goes down during football, I'll cancel immediately.

I was just thinking that it's damn lucky the hockey season hasn't started yet. Otherwise I might have some choice words for whoever answers the phone. I just hate paying for a service that you can't even watch.

I have telus tv. I have had it for about 2 months. So far Ive been really impressed with it. I did alot of research first into telus tv, there is alot of mixed reviews out there. When they launched there HD channels a few months ago it seems from most of the feedback that things started to improve.
I have 2 boxes with telus, they both work very well. The guide isnt as fast as what shaw had, but not a big deal. Ive never had to reset my boxes yet.
But you do have to have telus internet with it. So I had to switch everything over. I wish telus had some more hd channels and they have no NFL network, but its still a pretty new service and IM sure they will add more channels with time.

I had it go down on me one day in the summer for pretty much the whole day. Took the internet with it. It was a crappy day so I kinda wanted to stay at home and veg but without TV and internet, I ended up reading and drinking. I drank a bottle and a half of wine that day. Man, my lips were purple in the morning.
But yeah, they'd better make sure things are alright for hockey and football season, or I'll simply cancel. Even if there's a fee to do so. Guaranteed Shaw will be offering some kind of incentive for Telus people to jump ship that'll likely make up for the cost of breaking the Telus contract.

my neighbour works for Telus. He doesn't have it, that said enough for me to stay away from it.

I know a few people within the management of Telus that could get the service for free and are still with Bell/Shaw because they don't trust it and aren't impressed by the amount of HD, etc.
Maybe in a few years it will be good, but from what I hear is don't get Telus TV if you want reliability. So best of luck this sports season

I have it. It isn't amazing, has its issues, and I've considered cancelling a few times. But, for the price I pay, I get exactly what I want to watch, and its considerably cheaper than any package I would have to get with Shaw. Telus just has more flexability in what they allow you to choose in a bundle than Shaw does, which is making me keep it for now.
However, I watch little TV and can live without a significant number of channels. For those who want a more premium package, I would definitely go with Shaw.

Man, started having problems with this on Friday. Lost all connections and finally got it back today as of 20 minutes ago. It's the first time I've had problems with telus and it's been a frustrating weekend to say the least, especially since nobody on their end knew what the hell was going on.

I watched Dirty Rotten Scoundrels a few weeks ago at my girl's place, they have Telus TV.
The motion looked choppy, some people might not notice but it bothered me.

I have always been a telus tv supporter since the service was first available. I started having problems with it about two weeks ago and it all started with the image getting choppy. I'm hoping to find out what's causing the problem tomorrow. It might be something with my own hardware which could be solved by getting a new receiver and modem, or it's something going on their end. With new channels being added to their system it might be causing some problems. Whatever it is I just want it solved.

I feel your pain Sadora. Ours has gone down many times, and for spans of up to almost a week. It is one of the worst products I have ever had, and would recommend it to no one.
The support teams have no idea how to fix anything, and in our case, actually made things worse many times.
Yes it is cheep, but that is the only good thing I can say about it.

Bumping.
Sadora any resolution to the problem? How long did it take etc.
I am considering the Telus TV now that they offer two boxes and a faster internet connection for free. It is cheap but it sounds like issues abound.
Any more positive or negative feedback from anyone?
