I hate kickers...and turnovers.

Saints are 3 plays away from being undefeated.

I still curse the Gods for me discovering this team 15 years ago, they break my heart every year. That was an absolutely stereotypical Saints loss. This team could lose 50-0 for the next 25 years and I'd still be on board, but that loss just summed this franchise up to a tee to this point. I can almost guarantee this team isn't playoff material after this loss, that was a team-defining game.

See, I still see them making the playoffs, but only if one of the NFC East teams falls off. They are 1-0 in the division, 2-3 overall with Oakland coming in next week.

I would love to see them find another kicker, but that second Reggie TD had to motivate them to think that they are not out of any game. Losses of 5, 2, and 3 points...man, it's tough to deal with. They have a lot to hang their hat on after holding Peterson in check.

20 year fan here...I feel your pain.

I think I like Martina Gramattica and Kevin Kaeshvaharn.

lol, I don't have an issue with what Kaeshvaharn did, though I have a fundamental disagreement with the NFL pass interference penalty (spot foul is B.S., 15 yards like college is ideal.)

Kickers can suck it, though.

Really? I prefer the spot foul. If a pass is going 80 yards and gets broken up by PI, it should be an 80 yard penalty.

I agree with rube, if it's a deep ball, why wouldn't the DB just take the PI penalty then? If it was a 80 yard bomb, and the DB was beat, he would just trip, push, or just plain ol interfere to take a 15 yard penalty.

I didn't watch nearly enough of the game to have an opinion on it, but I have no freaking idea why Childress kept punting to Bush....baffles the mind.

I don't get it about Childress. Philly's offense hasn't been nearly as good since he left to go to Minnesota. I honestly saw it as a huge hole left at OC. Mind you, Childress was never in charge of the play-calling when he was in Philly.

You want dissapointment. Try being a dolphins fan.

Try consistantly going 10-6 to 12-4 for the 90's and early 00's and then constantly bowing out of the playoffs in the first round. Many times the dolphins would start 5-0, 7-1, etc, and then they'd faulter in december right up on through the playoffs.

Trust me you're not the only fan with a broken heart.

As a head coach, his playcalling has been abysmal, and some of his decisions questionable (similar to last night's decision to repeatedly punt to Bush).
I really want him and his "kick ass" offense out of Minnesota.

Fans of the majority of teams in the NFL can claim similar feelings. Unless your a Patriots (this decade), Giants (who seem to win it at least once a decade), or Cowboys fan. Numerous teams have not only never won a Super Bowl but haven't even played in one. On a hockey site like this we like to make fun of the Toronto Maple Leafs who haven't won a Stanley Cup in over 40 years. Yet many of us cheer for NFL teams that have never won a Super Bowl ever, or in my case haven't won one in 40 years. Some times I wonder (like many of you wonder about you teams I'm sure) if I will ever see the Chiefs play in a Super Bowl.

Disgusting loss last night, just can't keep giving games away and make the playoffs. The Gramatica experiment has to be done, the guy has cost us two games. Some awful defensive play calling, the all out blitz on 3rd and 17 to allow the Vikings to tie the game was ridiculous. Hopefully the team gets it together for the Raiders, ugh.

Must be frustrating to hear fans of other teams whining about always making the playoffs and never winning the Super Bowl. Or having a great season only to blow it in the playoffs. When as a Lions fan, you would just like to see a winning season or maybe even a playoff appearance.

Some semblance of progress would be nice. Last year at 6-2, we figured that progress might have been realized, that is, until it was swept right out from under us. But in the end I guess it should have been expected anyway. With the Lions it's always one step forward, three steps back.

Yeah, to hear Patriotfan whine about losing in the Super Bowl and then losing Brady evokes ZERO sympathy from me!

Well it would be tough if you've only been on board since 2002.

to be fair, we Patriot fans had little to cheer about until Brady showed up.

True, but still not fair. You've enjoyed what, 8 consecutive years? of outstanding football. The Bledsoe years were far and away better than anything I've ever seen out of my team. There was a Super Bowl appearance in there... well maybe it could be argued they never actually appeared for that game.

But I don't know how much more clear I can make this: I cheer for the DETROIT LIONS!! Every week! 16 times a year I subject myself to this team and false hope.

Can any of you even remember the last time the Lions were on primetime TV other than Thanksgiving? They're a forgotten franchise in a league of superstars and superteams.

Yeah, it's frustrating to hear fans complain. To me, it's all spilled milk compared to what Lions fans endure.

I think Bills fans have more to complain about than most. Four straight AFC Championships and no Super Bowls to show for it. Mind you, us Eagles fans had some heartbreaking years too, making it to three straight NFC Championships and losing and then losing in the Super Bowl when we finally got over that hump.
