Some language may not be totally safe for work. Still worth watching at a reasonable level.

Also, Sarah Silverman is not hot, not funny and no longer with Jimmy Kimmel so please remove her from this add - thanks.

Wow I was actually playing poker while watching this so I was pretty taken aback when Ellen Degeneres said that.

Cool bit, in any case.

I'll do whatever Ashton Kucher (sp?) tells me to do. Actually this ad irritated me.

Yeah, I get a little sick of Hollywood telling people what to do politically. As a group, they are the least affected by any financial implications brought on by politicians in either party.

Do you have a problem with them trying to get people to vote? I understand they all have their allegiances, but the underlying message here is important regardless of your political leanings.

I have a problem with the way people are persuaded to register to vote and the way only certain demographics are targeted, but that wasn't my main point. Maybe because I'm in LA, I get to hear Hollywood offer their two cents constantly, whether they're educated about the issues or not. Regardless of whatever economic crisis we go through as a country, they will have plenty of money to weather the storm with little worry. So I'd rather them not paint a pretty picture about how one specific candidate can change the country when its simply not true. They're a very liberal group and because they're in Hollywood they get the soapbox more than the opposition.

Well, that's not entirely true. Their salaries are dependent on the ability of us pleebs to spend money on their films. If we can't afford to go to movies, they don't get paid.

Secondly, Obama has reiterated over and over again his intention to increase taxes on people who make over $250k - which would be everyone in that video, so considering their tax burden is on the line it is kinda cool that they are still eager to put this out on the web, which is Obama's turf, really.

And, why shouldn't people in Hollywood voice their opinions? They are all aware, at least to some degree of the fantastic luck they've had - and politics is pretty damn important, beyond merely the fact that they are financially insulated. I know that if I got a soapbox right now, I'd start hollering about politics.
