Mets lose, the Brewers are up 5-1 on the Cubs in the 8th so they should be good as well. It'd be funny to see the Mets completely blow up twice in a row ... and they just gave Minaya a multi-year extension.

Twins dodged a bullet with a little help from Ricky "Wild Thing" Vaughn and the Tribe tonight.

Two games left each to decide the fate of the AL Central Division.

Well it could come down to the Twins needing the White Sox to play that extra game and lose it on Monday.

The AL Central will come down to the game tomorrow. Both the Twins and White Sox won today, so the Sox remain 0.5 game behind the Twins. The Mets bullpen blew it again today and the Brew Crew are the NL Wild Card team.

i'm pissed at the mets. two years in a row they blow it. they would have lost in the first round anyway. If they made it in they would have limped in. I have to cheer for the NL teams this year I think. Would be nice to see the cubbies take it.

Definitely in the states, but not sure if RSN will pick it up.

At any rate, as a noon start, I'll be following from work on game cast.

Lets go Tigers! clap, clap, clap-clap-clap!

Finally started. 1-0 Chicago already, two men on, none out in the bottom of the first.

Woo! Tigers tie it at 1 in the 5th, and are threatening for more. Runners on the corners, none out.

the Chicago Blackhawks were playing against The Wild in Minny tonight. I wonder how many people were following that game.

Too bad for the Hawks, if the Sox and Cubs make some noise, the Hawks will be back page news for awhile.

Twins Lose... Twins... lose.

That said, they went down honourably. Four playoff appearances in the past seven years isn't bad at all. They're still close, despite the fact that on paper they shouldn't have had a prayer of making the playoffs at the beginning of the season.

Great game. Nice throw by Griffey. Massive hit by Thome. Go Sox!

Whatever happens in October, I just hope that the apocalypse is averted by someone beating the Cubs before they get a pennant. WP Kinsella wasn't kidding about that prophecy in "The Last Pennant Before Armageddon."

Somebody get Griffey a damn WS ring already. I don't think there's a guy in the league right not that deserves it more.
