16hr subway
I bought a subway sandwich Friday night around 4 or 5pm. I ate half and threw the rest in my backpack to be forgotten about till the next morning.
I estimate that the sandwich sat in my backpack for about (or just over) 16 hours.
The sandwhich contained:
Turkey
Ham
Jalapeno peppers
Bell Peppers
Mustard
Wheat bread
tomatoe
cheese
Since I remembered I had the sandwich, it has been sitting in my fridge. Should I open the fridge and
A: Eat the sandwich
B: Throw the sandwich out.
If consumed, the sandwich will be done so with an alcoholic beverage. Maybe the alcohol will kill any bacteria or whatever from bad meat?

What's it smell like?
I wouldn't eat it. Is it any different than having cold cuts sit on the counter all night, and then eating them for breakfast?

Careful with pre-sliced sandwich meat; they're about the worst thing for growing bacteria. If it was a meatball or steak sub, I'd say no problem. Sandwich meat... it's compounded by the problem that it's been sitting in the fridge for, what, another 24 hours? Once bacteria gets started, it'll continue to grow even in refrigerated conditions. That said, meh, the worst you'll get is mild to intermediate indigestion.

I would phone up the Subway and ask them if they use meats from Maple Leaf first.
I mean... might as well go all the way.

I told my roommate about this plan.
She started spouting something about beer being yeast, and bacteria loves yeast. I don't know what she is talking about, I'm not a chick, so I don't think I have to worry about no yeast infection.
Plus she doesnt even eat any meat, so I'm pretty sure her opinion all-together is worthless.
I'm a couple bites in, and feeling no better, no worse than I was a few minutes ago.

We have $5 foot-long subs at Subway here. And an annoying song to go with it too.

OK, the beer won't do anything to the bacteria. Between the alcohol and the sandwich of doom, I'd say you'll be a candidate for a multi-organ transplant.
Boy I hope that sandwich tastes good...
