Clarett will be a 1,000 yard rusher within 3 years.

If he goes to NFL Europe then I agree he may have a chance but staying in the NFL I don't think so. Even on the Broncos where everyone gets 1,000 good or not.

I just don't think this kid has the mental make up in order to do it.

Wow, Clarett in Denver. Shanahan has done an unbelievable job with just about every RB that team has had over the past x amount of years. If he can work his magic with this kid, look out!

Clarett may get 1000 yards this season....it's Denver's system. Nutso, really it is.
CB, CB, CB threw me RIGHT OFF!
I'm calmed on the Williamson pick, gotta give him a shot, he's got speed and size. I guess we need that to keep those safties on their toes.
James is a top 5 prospects before his durability conecerns, so there's potential there.
Marcus Johnson, a 6'6 guy who can play guard and tackle.....brings a HUGE smile to my face. Late first rounder going to us at mid second.
Dustin Fox is a question mark.....there were plenty other safties on the board.
Tomorrow I hope for a DT(not Hawthorne), G/T, RB, S....Pretty sure we'll do our yearly 4th round RB.....C'mon Marion Barber.....you went to school in Minny, might as well start your career there.

Well, he's going to have to displace a pretty good runner in Tatum Bell.

The Broncos don't need him to turn out, so that's why I'm ok with the pick.

Is Shanahan obsessed with trying to stop Peyton Manning with the way he's loaded up on Corners recently?

I think Arizona has had a heck of a draft so far. So far, all 5 players they've gotten are great picks. Blackstock and Brown are steals at where they were picked.

I also really liked Dallas' class a lot too, but I think they could have gotten a better back than Barber at that point (Brandon Jacobs is a BEAST).

Don't forget the road to the Superbowl goes through New England, not Indy.

Mind you, New England has a decent passing attack too. Still thats the team you have to beat if you want to win the big prize.

Was just about to make a post about the Cards. Looks like Green is finally going to turn my team around. Rolle, Blackstock, Brown will likely all be starters. Arrington and Green should see both see a good amount of action as well. I think we actually have a good chance of taking the NFC West this year.

If Lundsmen doesen't get drafted I bet he at least garners a camp invite. Either way thet guys a pretty stand up kid, and as much as I'd like for him to be in the red and white, I'd cheer for him just the same if he ends up in the NFL.

I don't think the Stamps need or want Lumsden...I can't remember the last standout in CIAU as far as running back goes (someone from Queens, who's record Lumsden broke maybe?) but they turned into little to nothing.

Have an NFL undrafted Lumsden would've increased the chances that he would realize a NFL career is a lot less likely than a CFL one. With that the case, when Toronto, Ottawa, or Hamilton come calling at the draft, looking for the Ontario born running back of the future to market and use on the field, the Stamps could've gladly traded the pick for a player plus that teams first round pick.

Now,. with my Seahawks giving Lumsden a light at the end of the tunnel, the chance he'll "settle" for the CFL is unlikely, at least right away. Which measn the trade possibility is a lot less attractive to those Ontario teams.

My Seahawks (and confirmed by many at Seahawks boards) are pretty disappointed on the whole draft, with a couple head scratchers. Add to that some of the so-so free agents, an uninterested Shaun Alexander, a newly signed secure Hasselback (who's progression should be a few years ahead of where it is now, he's domne little to justify the big $$ he's gotten...and he's still making rookie mistakes and getting pats onthe back for them like its not big deal) who'll get likley worse, not better, and the Seahawks will have a tough time this year.
Then, they're the only NFL team to spend any serious interest on Lumsden?
*sigh*

I like what my Chargers did this year. After multi stabs at a QB they have two.
So finally they can replace their D and restock their OFL even grab a breakout receiver and a mini runner later.
There is just a ton of football players isn't there?

I might draft Lumsden just to trade him later.
What Canadian steps into our line-up right now?

I just read that UT's Michael Munoz decided to quit football since he didn't get drafted. He's a class guy and was a good leader for our team in college--it's a shame that injuries plagued his career. I think it must have been hard on him to always be compared to his dad--he was often overrated because of his name, and I think people were often disappointed with his performance not reaching their expectations of him (not rightfully so).

Well Munoz's knee's must have been in pretty bad shape to not get drafted. Taht's the only explanation I can come up with. Pretty weak to just up an dretire, at least wait a few days when a team can sign you as a UDFA.

Anybody else find it weird that when the Commisoner of the league came out he actually was cheered. I mean I'm so use to the Bettman boo's, The Selig Boo's and even some time the Stern boo's.

Sproles was a great pick. He'll make the team and he'll contribute right away. Shades of Ronnie Harmon.
