Music History is a lot of fun and it can be easy if you're into what is being taught. The prof I had for "Music of the 80s" was amazing. We played a lot of name that tune
The same can be said for Film. If they are teaching a specfic genre you enjoy, I'd go for it. I took the Western class and that was great!

I took the same course about 2 years ago.. it was fun.

PHIL279 - Logic I
If you know anything about logic ( T and T = T, T and F = F, T or F = T, etc) then this should be a breeze for you.

That kind of stuff is the basis of digital logic.
That is the kind of stuff which I thought was quite interesting.
Thanks bud, I will check this one out as well as the class Mango was talking about.
If you're in engineering, especially software or computer engg or have taken discreet mathematics, this class is a breeze. Its dead simple stuff like if A = B and B=C then A=C ... and it honestly doesn't get much more complicated than that.
When I took it I got 100% on the midterm and ended up with a 97% overall for the course. I didn't attend any of the tutorials and only about 60% of the classes. The assignments can be easily done in a Sunday afternoon, and I studyed about 30 mins for the final and midterm.
Another easy engineering elective I took what GEOG something...203 I believe. It think it was titled World Affairs or something like that. Your mark is made up of 4 test, counting for 25% each. On the first day you get all the photocopied notes for the class, so there's no requirement to attend any of the lectures if you don't want to ... I did though just because it was actually fairly interesting. All the questions on the exams are made up stricly of questions from the photocopied notes. Also if you get past exams the questions are repeated like crazy!

Take Poli 201 this spring with Len Wilson. Great lecturer so you don't have to take notes, 3 easy quizzes, 1 short paper and an easy final based on the quizzes.
He's a tough marker for papers but it should only be around 1500 words and on some easy topic like gay marriage.

Then they must have changed the course significantly. So easy. Write instructions on how to paint a window sill.
Yea...it's now a required course for several faculties (I was fortunate enough to take a communications class through the business school earlier that allows me to not take this one).
Someone who's taken the class can correct me, but I think it's some sort of crazy new lecture style where the lectures are useless, you have several labs per week, and tons of useless assignments that take a shinguardload of time away from your real classes...with incompetent profs/TAs too...

I thought Phil 275 was into logic.
Either way, I highly suggest whichever course it is.
A retarted monkey could get an A in this course (which kinda says a lot about the first year kids that failed this course while I was taking it).
Be careful though, I can guarantee there will be at least two ######ed monkeyesque people that will as stupid questions durring every class.

If you've taken any kind of digital logic courses, you should go for that Phil course. I took the equivalent at the U of A, and I'm in electrical engineering. What I covered in about 3 weeks of my one digital course was covered in the entire Phil class. Easy as pie.

I hear it's great for balance and core training.
Plus, the chick to TOTF ratio would be like 20-1. And ballet girls are typically in pretty good shape.
And the making fun of him possibilities are endless!!!

calf, you lucked out with SGMA 301, eh? Thank God, so did I.
I've heard horror stories about the difficulties of COMS 363, to the point where there was a petition going around for people to sign to get 363 cancelled or redesigned or something like that.

I need to take a spring/summer class this summer.
Out of all the classes in the link, what is the easiest?
I didn't look at the link of courses offered, but I once to fill out my humanities requirement I once took Drama 380 - Introduction to The Cinema during spring.
It was a full year course, so I spent the entire spring semester watching Bergman, Fellini, Amaldovar, Denis Arcand, Atom Egoyan etc etc.
If you like films, try it.
It also was the easiest A- I ever was awarded!

So what would one recommend? 275 or 279?
I'm getting my schedule together for my first year. I need a Jr. Humanities option, and Philosophy sounds interesting enough.
Thanks.
