after the first quarter, the USC offense is getting nowhere against the beavers defense, and the beavers are running the ball right down the trojans throat!

If USC loses this game, they are done, considering how weak their schedule has become given the poor showing of the pac-10 this year. there's plenty of game left i know, but still, they look BAD.

EDIT: 14-0 beavers half way through the 2nd quarter.

Damn, I was hoping that Oregon was going to be the ones to knock off USC. But Oregon State is playing great tonight.

Oregon State having everything going right for them that half.

Still plenty of time for USC to get back in the game.

In the second half if they decide to stop being so conservative on offense it shouldn't take them long at all to get the lead.

I still don't understand why USC still takes games off after all the times they have given away games you would think they would have learned by now.

Thursday night has always been upset night for some reason.

It seems like the underdog has less time to think about who they are playing, and the favorite seems to be unprepared and/or flat.

This would make my week if OSU pulls it out.

Intercepted! Now punch it in FTW! Yessir!

Unbelieveable that USC gave another game away.

Hopefully they get to kill an SEC team in a bowl but I fear they are going to have to kick the crap out of OSU again in a mean nothing bowl game.

But the BCS is really good for college football.

If there are any undefeated BCS or 1 loss BCS teams, they will likely leave USC out of the championship picture, and that's a real shame... If only they could go through their schedule without these trip ups.

Until there is a playoff, that's going to be the standard unless the Big Ten and Pac-10 add another team or two and put in a championship game. That's the only way I can see a team like USC get past an early season loss.

Beware of an agitated Beaver....Mike Riley had his troops fired up, not bad for an ex Bomber coach. That mini back was unbelievable, Quiz rushing for over 180 was pretty cool, and USC's QB doesn't handle pressure well, extremely inaccurate.

Amazingly poor performance for the boys of Troy.

I agree...as of now they are outside of the NC picture and will need a miracle to get back in.

I have feared that Sanchez wasn't as good as he has looked thus far and last nights game made that abundantly clear, though i dont blame him for it. Pete Carroll is a great football coach but his teams repeatedly have shown that they are not always as prepared as they need to be. Last night was a glaring example.

Sigh.

So I had the privilage of being at the game last night (OSU beavers season ticket holder). It was the most amazing sports atmosphere I've personally been in. Literally EVERYONE stood during the entire game.

I don't think it was so much that USC played so poorly, it was more that OSU played a nearly flawless game. The first half was literally the best I have EVER seen them play.

Anyways today I've got no voice and didn't get any sleep last night, but its a great day to be a beaver!!!

Being stuck watching a mid major team I can't stand the BCS. The title needs to be decided on the field through playoffs but we have debated that many times before.

I'm a little worried about Oregan State. They get a couple of extra days to prepare for Utah next week as Utah plays today. Should be a good game with Utah looking for some pay back after last years beating

Without the BCS that upset isn't even a big deal. USC just has to roll to 11-1 or 10-2 and they'll still get their shot at the title.

Why do you want USC in a meaningful bowl game? I think this loss coupled with a terribly weak schedule should mean they don't play in a meaningful bowl game. They are lucky that their conference is terrible so they get to a BCS out of default most likely. I would take a 2 loss SEC/Big 12 team over a one loss PAC 10 team anyday. Also why would the play Ohio St.? Penn St. is going to roll them.

they'll probably get a BCS matchup against whichever of the mid majors (BYU, Utah, TCU and Boise State) that remains undefeated.

Whether I want them in a meaningful bowl game or not they are going to win the PAC 10 easily so they will be in a BCS bowl game either way.

I did forget about Penn St. who could very easily win the Big Ten over OSU. I guess I am just use to Ohio St. doing enough in the Big Ten to win and get the opportunity to lose to a better team from another BCS conference. I hope it is Penn St. that gets the BCS bid this year I just don't have the confidence that they won't screw it up somehow allowing OSU to get in once again.

I would take a one loss USC team over any undefeated Big 12 team not named Oklahoma this year. Also, would take them over any one loss SEC team as well.
