Interesting ending tonight. I though Stephanie was done like dinner but Janu quits. I really think this is an example where Probst had a direct impact on the game. He basically drove the questions and conversation to a point where Janu would quit so that Stephanie could stay around. Intentional? I think so - because right now Stephanie is the most interesting "character" and storyline on the show.

I agree Jiri, it was pretty obvious what he was doing there.
After all these seasons I still enjoy seeing how these 'average joes' respond to being put into the Survivor situation. I sure didn't think it would last this long but it still makes for good TV (relatively speaking).

Yeah, Probst stepped in and if it wasn't for him I think Stephanie was done for. Lucky girl, she was THIS CLOSE to being the second member of the jury.

Absolutely Probst had an impact...it's no coincidence it was the longest series of questions he's asked. He really put Janu on the spot.
Not that I'm complaining...I'm rooting for Stephenie to win it now. She's a trooper.

Totally.
The production staff didn't want Steph's story to end, because, imo its the only interesting story on the show this year.

Yes but truth be told this has been one of the most interesting Survivors in a very long time. Between Tom being such a machine (someone should have gotten rid of him a long time ago) and Steph refusing to be eliminated its making for a very entertaining version of Survivor.

I think I can see the men being picked off now 1 by 1 just like last season all because some whore face quits, and the odd man stays because of immunity. If its like last season where some of the final members are lucky to be there i might cry like old lesbo from last year. Half the women left are useless.

There has been but one opportunity to vote Tom off, and that was waaaay back when both tribes had to go to tribal council and Willard was punted. The man just keeps winning. If that trend keeps up, they may never get rid of him.

How unfair was that amunity challenge? Seemed to me that the tide was higher up from right to left (looking at it) so that's why all the girls went first, and gregg, and then finally Ian.

I have been totally loving these challenges this season.......Lots of times, the challenges are way too much alike from previous ones....dont get me wrong, I realize that a few of the challenges have been the same(the eating one.....the standing on the pole in the water challenge) but other ones, like tonights was great....I also really enjoyed the one where the tribe was connected by a rope and they had to walk in circles carrying the 20 pound bag of sand......That was one of the most grueling challenges I have seen on the show.........Anyways........I am loving this season.........Go Jenn Go as far as the CP Survivor draft goes, but I am cheering for Steph for sure.....she's hot and she's the best female player in the shows history IMO

Janu has to be the biggest whineist dumbest ignorant contestants ever. Why did she even bother to send in an application?
I think some of these people think that all it is an extended holiday on a beach somewhere! They should make a rule that any contestant who quits has to pay back the costs of travel, lodging etc. I think people would think twice before committing.
I think Probst knew Janu was done and pressured her to make the decision on air...or perhaps she had informed them that was her intentions when she was marooned on the Island by herself. I would assume that at that point Probst told her to hush and used it as the opportunity he did at Council.

Janu was so usless I am glad she is gone.
Not sure if the Girl alliance would even get off the ground.
All depends on Jennifer and her relationship to Gregg. Also Will Katie turn her back on Tom??
Should be interesting.
Tom once again looked strong. Seems any competition he is apart of his team wins or he wins. Big Bullseye on him should he lose an imunity challenge.

I've read before that Tribal Council is way, way longer than they show on TV. Up to an hour or more on occasion. That way they can cut it down in editing and have really good dialog, tough questions, and jucy parts for the 8-10 minutes they show.
Same goes for the Apprentice apparently where some boardroom went up to four hours! Crazy.

Mistake on Tom's part breaking his alliance with Steph. Now he can't lose an immunity or he's toast.
But the whole Greg/Jenn thing, Tom/Katie thing could mess that up. Things just got really interesting....
anyone else think Steph was going for the Oscar a little bit at tribal council? "boo hoo, I really want to stay, ..."
LOL!
Well done, girl!

I do think Tom messed that part up.
Now Steph does not trust any of them and is ticked off.
They could have alteast re-assured Steph then punted her. THat would have been smart. Sneaky but it would have worked.
It does add good Drama though.

They should have had the vote any way. Its chickenshinguard that they alter the rules to allow for a quitter, the tribe did not speak.
Next week looks good as Steph tries to get the ladies "on side".
Coby looked a lot different during the tribal council, I did not recongnize him/her.
