if you have a ps3 or xbox360 download the demo to check it out. I found it pretty fun but I'll wait for it to get cheaper since I'll have my hands tied with rock band 2

I downloaded the demo too but kind of thought it sucked. I've also read reviews that state the entire game is like the demo... go from point 'a' to point 'b', kill everything and repeat. I'm probably just going to rent it from blockbuster and see if the real version changes my mind.

This game is odd and reminds me of Assassins Creed in that people either really enjoy it or hate it. I loved the demo and thought it was really cool. My buddy on the other hand was furious after playing it. Usually it would be a must-buy, but with hockey out now and several big games coming down the pipe in october I'm not sure I'll be able to find the time.

When I first downloaded the demo, I was totally psyched to buy this as soon as it hit the stores. But I recently went back to the game this weekend. It wears thin really fast. I'll probably wait till it hits the bargain bin before buying it.
Strange... Spore and Force Unleashed were both games that I've been psyched about for over a year now, and I'm passing on both now that they are available.

I'm a big star wars buff, and I would like to try the game, but I'm not one to buy a console, if I can't get a PC version its dead to me (see NHL 09)
Guess I'll have to play some KOTR or Jedi knight outcast which were excellent games.

While I still feel betrayed by KOTOR2

The game is supposed to take 8-10 hours, so looks like a definite rental

Demo didn't seem bad. Tad repetitive yes but amusing none the less. I found some of the scenes at the end of the demo (which sadly looked like movie sequences) were pretty cool. That part where he was smashing that massive ship into the ground was pretty wild.
So what's the deal with this game though, looks like he is working for Vader against the empire? And is he more powerful than Vader?

From what I understand he is Vaders apprentice, but there is the whole rule of two so Palpa-Palpa-Palpatine is being kept in the dark, and the destruction of the Imperials is to keep it a secret.
In true EU fashion, they've made him extremely powerfull on a Vader level, but I've always thought that the EU stuff was just dumb in terms of how powerfull they've made the force, pulling down a star destroyer, smashing tie fighters, all a bit duece ex machina for me, but nobody is going to play a game where the force makes you a bit faster and you can toss lightning.
I also guess there's a twist where he betrays Vader and goes over to the Rebels in the game.

You mean there was a twist, you know ... now that you've SPOILED it.
