You can't lose.

Bump...today's the last day to sign up, and if you haven't already made your picks you must do so today. Good luck, all!

Wowsas...lots of victims in Week One! And so much for my strategy of saving the Pats!

They better do something. I heard an interesting stat today on ESPN radio: The last time Matt Cassel started a football game (as QB) at any level was a high school match in 1999. He completed something like three out of 11 passes in that one and lost the game.

Any one that picked the Pats are looking like a genius now. Picking them will be risky from here on. Do they play the Rams at home or on the road?

One and done.

Seriously thought about taking the Giants, but convinced myself that Carolina would stink again this season.

Whoops.

Yeah, given how crazy week one can be, I decided not to fata around this year and load up off the bat with New England and get myself into week two!

It was mentioned in the other thread that the more you see these teams the more you can generally figure out who is good, and just as important....Who is really bad.

I thought the Panthers were going to be a much better team this year, but without Steve Smith I didn't think they would have a chance against the Chargers in SD.

Chargers are overrated folks! Remember, their coach IS Norv Turner!

Not an easy choice this week in my mind.

I like to stick to home teams, but there is no clear cut.

There isn't any easy choices. All the bottom dwellers are at home with the exception of the Raiders. I have three teams entered in my survivor pool. I'm tempted to take KC in all three, which could be suicide. The Raiders do look pathetic though. I think the Chiefs will be better offensively with Huard at QB. Plus the Riaders are set up to fail with Skeletor pulling the puppet strings on Kiffen.

Other than that game, I like the Seahawks over the Niners. The Giants over the Rams on the road is tempting as well.

Careful on the Niners/Seahawks. The Niners give the Seahawks problems at the best of times, and the Seahawks are looking vulnerable, with their O-line pretty leaky, not much of a running game and their top receivers all out. You may think the Seahawks will be angry, but the Niners aren't happy they were dominated by the Cards, so they will have made adjustments, too.

Look for it to be a low scoring game, and those can go either way. (I'm calling my Niners, 13-9)

Oh come on? Are you not the one who keeps telling us how pathetic the Niners are now?
