My two cents - harshly judgemental, but honest thoughts:

I wouldnt have a problem with it for a short term relationship, as you'd be more of a sexy novelty to me, but nothing more. I'd lump you into the same class as a stripper; someone who sells fantasies, but not their body. While I wouldn't equate you to a hooker, I don't think I could respect your profession, and subconsciously that would then extend to you. A couple months of fun tops, then once the novelty is gone.....*flush*

I just an imagine meeting someone really cool while I'm doing this. Yuck. Why can't I be like so many other women I know who just expect some guy to take of their problems? Well, with all the money you'll save on contraception, you won't need to take the phone sex job!

But I didnt mean my initial comment to imply that you're promiscuous. Call it prudish/hypocritical or whatever, but any jobs affiliated with the sex industry, will always be considered "dirty" by 99% of people. No.And I was being sarcastic,sorry. I know so many married childless women in my neighborhood..many over 35, who have never worked. Maybe part of me is jealous. I keep thinking why don't they do charity work or something? Well I shouldn't say they NEVER worked. 2 of them were models, 2 married to successful musicians, one a former Playmate. And jeez no I wouldn't want to base a relatiionship on secrecy . You're being a little edgy here. I would DREAD meeting someone and thinking I had to stay away from him because of this. I really don't get why you would choose this as your second job. I'm sure there are many decent second jobs available that still pay well, but aren't nearly as trashy.

I don't consider myself prude, but I don't think I could work a phone sex job without feeling completely dirty. Talking to lonely men on the phone to help them get off? PASS!

Yeah I understand the possibility of that. The two male friends I have told about it ...we've been friends forever...say just go for it. So "everyone"? Maybe not. but the money is so tempting.

Actually once would make that case the politics actually was probably first but then I would hijack the thread. As for phone sex, I've always assumed that the callee look nothing like the callers on the late night tv ads. Can someone confirm or deny this for me?

It almost seems like you want to do this job. And if you do, then that's your choice, and you shouldn't look for other people's approval because you might not find it. The way I see it is that you're not being forced into being a phone sex worker, so why on earth would you actually choose to do it? Maybe you think you'll get some sort of pleasure or satisfaction out of it?

Well there may be truth to what you say. I can't find a job for $35 an hr working from home around here...not one that would pay that immediately. But getting others' opinions is part of the story..which IS one of the reasons I'd do it. Unfortunately I lsometimes do things just to write about them.

Iprobably forgot to mention I work 8-530 already. But if you think of a job for me let me know
