Yeah that would be creepy. This would just be in the privacy of my home. I already have a job and a "career" but I want a new car and I have a few financial issues that I would not want to burden another with. I am a severe stay at home. Hockey season is my social event. I sing for a heavy metal band but HATE that scene!!!!!!

Maybe if she was just doing it to put herself through school or something, but she was pretty content with that being her career. Again, it wasn't so much what she did, it was more the overall scene. Late nights, parties, etc etc.
I just couldn't see myself keeping up with that lifestyle forever. It's not like I was a wealthy rockstar or something.

Nathan Horton seems happy with Tammy Plante. I don't ask about her around here. Was she a Playmate or something more tawdry?

Maybe that's not fair, but it was what came to mind when the OP asked.

So you think these guys believe the "actress" is really interested in them??

Laugh. Come on now. Bald face deception? It's jerk-off talk, not a confidence scam.

Actress = no, it takes zero acting skill for a woman to fake it.
Slut = no, bleah; matter of personal definition.
Hooker = YES
She is would be getting paid to have sex; albeit "virtual".
Woman to woman; you might want to ask yourself the reverse question.
Would you want your boyfriend talking dirty to dozens of women everyday?
Could you date him without wondering if the others are somehow fulfilling something you are not?
Could you date him knowing that regardless of "acting"; he likely got turned on (and likely got off) with someone other than you.

I believe that the women are trying to convince the man that they are interested, which is what I am drawing my conclusion from.
Maybe I'm speaking only for myself here, but that kind of stuff does nothing for me if I don't believe its genuine. It annoys me more than doing anything else for me. Maybe it floats other guys' boats to get a moan and squeal that they know are forced.

I've always wanted to start a business with the worst no nonsense phone sex dialog
Customer - "Hey baby what are you wearing"
Her - "Flannel footie pajamas, I have a green mask on my face and cucumbers in my eyes"
Customer - "Thats hot, do you want to do it?"
Her - "Not really, I have to take the kids to the dentist tomorrow, and I'm bloated like a . Tell you what, you go for it, just don't wake me up"
Customer - "What"
Operator - "Thats 14.95 a minute for 3 minutes love"

This is nothing against you but there seems to be a double standard here again! Also why do you work any job....love or money..this is money!!!!!

I think we're talking about completely different things here. Yes, there may be a bit of a double standard, but that's because men and women are different creatures. I doubt there are many phone sex lines out there with men talking sexy for women while they get off, but the opposite obviously exists.
Dudes looking at porn is not only completely standard, but completely normal as well. I can even kind of understand why a man would phone a sex line - it's not for me, but I can see it. They're doing it because it gets them off... is the girl on the other end of the phone sex line doing it because it gets her off or for her pleasure? No, they're probably not enjoying themselves at all, they're just going through it because it's their job.
I'm more talking about what's going on in the mind of a girl that wants to do this for guys. Yeah, OK, there's great money in it ... I bet there is great money in stripping too and I wouldn't date a stripper either. Why do this when there are many other far more respectable / less disgusting and demeaning jobs available? I can understand the monetary attraction for girls to want to do this and I really can't blame them for taking advantage of horny guys, but I don't think I'd be OK with dating a girl who does it.

I wouldn't have a problem with it at all... As long as she's not calling my buddies.
Really who cares, it's about 1 thing...
People phone me all the time for computer support BS, you think I wouldn't throw in a few BIG BOY's and Engorged Members if I thought it would make me 5.99 a min...
TEXTING?!?!... You can Sext Message now?... so the dude on the other end has no idea who I am?... Where do I sign up.... Me and my wife can sit together a laugh at the dude everytime I hit reply...
Gimme a break... I'd hardly call myself a hooker cause I'm sexting some dude at 5.99 a message... It would be pretty ignorant of me be pissed at my wife for the same thing. I'd be most people virtually pimp themselves at work everyday for alot less money..
Good on you IMO...

Well sure, they are trying to convince the man of something for a few minutes. A waitress is also trying to convince you that your jokes are funny, and the salesman is trying to convince you that you look great in that shirt.
It's just part of the deal. They are charging you money and putting on an act. Then you hang up and clean up and go on with your daily routine.
Come to think of it, it is kind of an odd business. The sex talker is better off keeping the customer on the line for as long as possible. I wonder if they ever resort to tricks -- like when the customer is coming to his conclusion, they blurt out something like "what was your grandma's name?" or "Gordie Howe is overrated", just to distract you, and then they can charge you for another few minutes while they help you get to your magic place again.
That would be really frustrating.

I'm not too familiar with the phone sex lines.
Can you post some sample dialogue that you would be using, just to get me up to speed.

Is being paid for phone sex seriously the best second job you can come up with? Obviously you have some issues with it, since you're asking questions on what other people thing about it... so why don't you just search out a "more conventional" second job?

It wouldn't bother me in the slightest, I think it'd be hilarious. Imagine the stories you could tell!
" I put on my cloak and wizard hat..." - but narrated by your gf! You can't find that type of entertainment on cable!
