I've actually hear of that happening a lot. It's not unusual.

Howard 100, get Sirius and blast it all day, co-workers will love that you listen to Howard Stern all day.

Next time blast your cantopop at them!
Lemme check? Nope still Chinese I think. Whitewashed, but still Chinese. I left all my cantopop on my minidiscs back in highschool last decade.

Instead of radio, I just whistle now. I would hate to be at a job where I couldn't whistle or hum

So...for everybody in this thread. What is the optimal station in Calgary that neither pleases everyone or pisses everybody off?

Just going to give a quick update on this. I have been using a radio with one earphone in my left ear. My right ear listens for the phone and when someone beckons for me. This system has worked perfectly as I can't hear the crappy Energy1015, along with the stupid promotion we're sponsoring.

I'd say that Jack FM or Calgary FM are the safest as they are fairly neutral' play everything' stations.

Me too, nothing could be more irritating or non productive to work than having to listen to music that you do not appreciate.

I dont understand the philosophy of having music played that everyone is forced to listen to.

I mean, if some "Organic Eggplant Farm" was the sponsor for your company, would your boss now be forcing the staff to eat eggplant for your daily rations?

Sounds like your boss is going overboard on being sucky to the sponsor.

Oh geez, that type of generic music that drones on in the background is even more irritating than a style of music you don't like. I hate elevator music.

Just cut the music out period or let the employees make their own choices.

Milton Waddams: I was told that I could listen to the radio at a reasonable volume from nine to eleven, I told Bill that if Sandra is going to listen to her headphones while she's filing then I should be able to listen to the radio while I'm collating so I don't see why I should have to turn down the radio because I enjoy listening at a reasonable volume from nine to eleven.
