Olandis Gary blew his knee out with the Broncos in the first series of a game and played the entire game with it. He said he felt very little pain, but after the game they did an MRI and the ACL was toast.

The type of hit Brady took is notorious for blowing out knees. I'm not optimistic.

I agree with Syl though, I think they can be a playoff team with Cassel.

Tough day for QBs - the Chief's rookie QB got knocked out - Romo was lucky he didn't get badly hurt after one hit.

The Browns looked bad on defence - no pressure on Romo - Braylon Edwards is seriously out of game shape.

Torn ACL's don't mean you can't put any pressure on your knee.

Ronnie Brown walked off the field under his own power last year when he tore his ACL.

We needed that. Manning to Wayne for a 7 yard TD. Now only down 15-13. Defense needs to get a stop!

Fack! Harrison fumbles and the Bears run it back for a TD. 22-13 Bears. Colts are looking horrible tonight.

No I was calling HHF a bandwagon Pats fan and using your post of Brady being out to illustrate the pain in his going to feel now that his team is not the front runners he likes to cheer for!

Wow, Bears put up another TD on the Colts here. Week one....Chargers lose, Colts in trouble, and the Patriots lose Tom Brady. I'm suddenly tempted to go put money on the Steelers!

Bitter sweet day. It was a good week to play the one guy in my league who has Brady, Wayne, and Harrison. But for the CP league I have Harrison and Wayne. Oh well, 1-0 in one league and 0-1 in the other.
Gotta suck for Pats fans but other than last year when I had Brady and Welker in a league, I have not liked the Pats so no tears will be shed. Although I do hate first game out for the season injuries.

My buddy has a torn ACL and he plays football. He's going to get it repaired at the end of the season but for now is still playing. You're absolutely right though, a torn ACL doesn't mean you can't put any pressure on your knee, it limits your lateral movement though.

It pretty much eliminates lateral movement. Your sure your friend doesn't just have a severe sprain?

Ha ha, well I explained it once to you already on MSN about how I became a Pats fan so I don't feel the need to explain it to you again just because you decided to trot some bs out on the forum.

Tough loss for sure for the Pats, but you know what I'll keep the hopes up that the Pats rally around this some how.

In other news, at least the overrated Colts got defeated by the Bears with Manning at the helm the entire game!

Could the Cardinals be the class of the NFC West?
For as bad as the Seahawks were, the Rams looked worse.

That might be the case. But everyone knew the Rams would be bad, Seattle just came out and shat the bed today. I wonder if that's looking to be worst division in football?

Well it's a West Division of some sort...just don't know if it's NFC or AFC.

Although I no longer think Kansas City is the worst team in the NFL...it's either the Bengals or the Rams who are right now.

The Cardinals could easily be 2-0 after next week, since they play my dolphins.

The only thing that could save the fish that week is if they implemant more split back situations with Ronnie and Ricky, one of those should even line up in some wide receiver sets as they are alot better receivers than our WR's

I wonder how much work I'll get done today....I'm just counting down the hours till 5 PM MST, where I plan to be firmly planted on my couch watching the Vikes-Packers game. Even have a work through lunch to leave early.Yesterday was just downright wierd, with the Pats struggling to beat the Cheifs, the Colts LOSING to the Bears, Chargers getting upset by the Panthers AND the Jags losing to the Titans.
