Default Coming soon to a back yard near you.. the mini cow!

Quote:
It's the little cow with a big future. Rising supermarket prices are persuading hundreds of families to turn their back gardens into mini-ranches stocked with miniature cattle.
Registrations of the most popular breed, the Dexter, have doubled since the millennium and websites are sprouting up offering “the world’s most efficient, cutest and tastiest cows”.
For between Ł200 and Ł2,000, people can buy a cow that stands no taller than a large German shepherd dog, gives 16 pints of milk a day that can be drunk unpasteurised, keeps the grass “mown” and will be a family pet for years before ending up in the freezer.

Lol this is awesome.

Though really I won't be happy until I can have a hippo the size of a hamster like the one in that commercial.

You couldn't pay me to drink unpasteurized milk. Well, actually I am allergic to milk, so I wouldn't drink it anyway. But I have seen milk when it is fresh out of the cow, and it looks nasty.

That's pretty cool, but if I was going to get a couple smallish cattle for an acreage, I'd still opt for one of these bad boys:

Awesome news!

I have a dream that someday I'll be able to buy a MiniLion™ (complete with a mane and tiny little "RAWR!").

MiniCows™ are one small step along the way!

People will get these - then immediately regret it when they need to milk them twice a day, buy hay and straw for the winter, etc, etc.

Dairy farming (on any scale) is a daily grind.

Give me the house hippo.

I'd still prefer one of these:

I dont like horses personally, but a really tiny one might be cool.

If they can shrink cows and horses, I'm going to hold out until I can get a dog-sized elephant. That would rule!
