Mutts Discount Golf?

Apparently this online store is based out of Calgary? Anyone know anything about them? Their prices are significantly cheaper than any US stores. Think they are trustworthy?

I've never even heard of them.

I'd love to check them out though. Golf is an expensive game. Anytime you can save cash and support a local company I am all for it.

meh I'm just kidding of course and I have never used them but the "Although we are not authorized resellers of the name-brand golf equipment found on our website" makes me wonder about it... but if the price is right....

If it's legit, the big bertha irons are about half the price I paid for them a month ago.

Well I sent them an email asking that if we live in Calgary, could we pick up from them and save on shipping as well, and they basically said their business license does not allow for pickups but that they would find a way to make it work in order to retain my business... I don't want to get the guy in trouble by promising all of CP something he wrote back to one customer but if you order from them or your going to you may want to contact them about shipping.

I'm having a really hard time believing this is legit.

If they aren't an authorized reseller, then they couldn't get equipment from manufactures at wholesale cost.

Yet almost all of their products are being sold well below wholesale cost.

Doesn't add up to me. I've worked in the industry a long time, and can tell you guys that counterfeit Ping, Callaway, Taylormade, etc clubs looks absolutely identical in every way to the real clubs, but the clubs sure don't perform like they should. Faces collapse, etc.

But who knows maybe they are real, I'm really not sure.

Too fishy for me. Here is the unusually honest reply I got from my email to them:

Thanks for your email. We source our products from non-authorized
resellers who have purchased through liquidation, backruptcies, etc.
All our clubs come with serial numbers and we offer a 30-day satisfaction
warranty.

Because of how we source, and the fact we are not authorized, to the best
of our knowledge, warranties through the manufacturer are not valid and
for this reason, we also offer a 1-year replacement warranty.

Although I cannot guarantee authenticity (we do not truly know supply
chain), I can advise we have yet to receive a complaint or a return to
date.

Although probably not a perfect answer, it is the best we can offer.

I would steer clear myself....For example they have the Titleist AP2's on for $750,and they are at Golftown for $1099. But they only have them in RH. Guess he cant order them in LH for some reason

Try and keep it reasonable, while I don't mind discussions like taking place here I'm not interested in being the staging ground for a legal battle.

Good Afternoon Calgary Flames Fans, and I guess I should thank you all for your curiosity regarding our products and our website.

I will try to give you the answers to your questions regarding the "Authenticity" of our products. Keep in mind, that whats gets posted here is available for the world to see, so no info regarding how or where we source our products will be shared!

With that said, our products are legit. We source from legitimate and "Authorized" companies. All of the products come with their respective serial numbers and we offer both a 30-Day "Test Drive" and a one-year warranty on defects.

Now, with this said, here is where it gets a little more grey.
Because we are not an authorized reseller, we cannot guarantee that the product, the warranty, or the registration will be recognized by the respective manufacturer. Their responsibility is to their Dealers and Authorized Retailers and we certainly understand this.

So, what we offer is the name brand, authentic product at a lower price. Inventory varies based strictly on our ability to source. We do not stock here in Calgary and order only when a customer orders from us. Depending on how things progress, this may change for next season.

As for Left Handed clubs, they are simply not as popular and more difficult to attain. I will see if I can help resolve this in the coming days.

The offer of a customer picking up products was a one-off and not something we could extend to the masses, so please do not email asking if you can pick up your club. Although we try to accomodate as best we can, we are not set up at this time for this type of service.
