I've got sneakers, tight white leather pants, suspenders, a bandana, and a rock star wig from a halloween costume. As well as black nail polish, eyeliner, and MAYHEM fake-tattooed across my freshly shaved stomach.

Oh, and in keeping with true 80's style, a big white powder doughnut around one of your nostrils.
It ain't a true 80's party until someone breaks out an 8-ball.

I did, but the name of it had been stripped from my memory by the 90's.

I used to have a million of those black rock T-shirts, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Ozzy Osbourne, remember the ones with the long white sleeves and numerous colours of Rugby pants, also red & blue bandanas, lol.

If you can't find the proper duds, go the easy route and cut your hair like Mr.T.
The clothes really won't matter if you make that kind of commitment.

Got Oliver Klozoff

The fanny pack just made me think of getting a K-Way jacket.
I've got to try and find one of those things.
I'm going to hit Value Village and that Cat's eye store.

They sell K-Way style jackets at American Apparel. There are vintage shops all over 17th Ave too.
Vintage = $$ compared to the Value Village, but they'd have cooler stuff. In fact, they comb the Inter-Faith-Value Village-Sally Ann and buy up all the 80's stuff (the kids think it's cool) and sell it for a markup.

Heh! I used to have one of those K Way jackets. They were great to have one when one went hiking.

He said he's going to an 80s party, not the Back Alley on a regular Friday night (note: I haven't been to the Back Alley in years, so I'm only assuming the standard dress code hasn't changed).

Any 80's party I go to I just grab a white dress shirt and roll the sleeves up, grab some tight jeans with some rips, do my hair up all ######baggish and put on some old school sun glasses and go as Corey Hart. Easy costume.
