Solid stuff as always. Highlights how even these two teams are on paper. This one SHOULD go this distance, which means it probably won't.

Excellent write up Beerfund. I think your pretty bang on with most of the comparision. Sakic vs Modano. Two solid offensive Vetrans. Both leaders of there team. Turco, Theo. Both younger goalies looking to prove themselves in the post season..

I like the comparision of the top 6 guys. Looks pretty solid on paper.

"Todd Bertuzzi, Brad Richards, Alexei Zhamnov & Keith Primeau vs Shawn Bates, Martin Havlat, Morrison & Ryan Smyth These two groups provide a significant amount of offense for their clubs. Bertuzzi/Richards/Zhamnov/Primeau contributed 10 goals, 13 Assists, 23 points and were a combined +13 in the series against NYR. Bates/Havlat/Morrison/Smyth provided 5 goals, 17 assists 22 points and were a combined +13 against Toronto. These 8 forwards round out their clubs top 6. They are closely matched groups and will provide tonnes of entertainment for fans of both clubs."

I do feel I have a wild card with this comparision. That being Peter Bondra. Held off the score sheet in round one he seems to have been overlooked. We like that fact... Peter is due to come out of his shell. This could prove to be the difference in this series... Do the Habs have an answer to the Bondra factor??

Or will Bondra continue to lurk in the shadows.. It is worth noting that Bondra had a slow start to the season as well. Then once he woke up was a force to be reckoned with...

Agreed, on the Bondra issue. I have him in there on my series analysis which will be added today.

My ability to predict is plain aweful, I think this is aptly demonstrated by CPHL Proline and my Drunk Dollars.
I used to do quite well at the whole sports betting thing. In fact, for 2 years at University I was able to support my 'beer fund' by putting in $100 in a pot and playing Sports Select. Half my winnings went to my 'beer fund' the other half stayed with my float. I didn't have to add any cash to the float for my last two years of school.

Round 2 series analysis is done - Hopefully I'll get more than 50%, but I'd be happy if I was wrong on the Habs/Sens. The rest is academic
