Women's Beach Volleyball in the rain....hmmm wonder why they didn't re-schedule it?

I bet the ratings have just doubled for beach volleyball lol

In streaming resolutin it doesn't even look like the sand is wet. I actually hadn't noticed that, but you can tell that the athletes are wetter than they are just with sweat and everyone else in the stadium is wearing ponchos. Reminds me a bit of that Euro 2008 match where it didn't look rainy on the wide-angle cam, but when they zoomed in it looked like a swimming pool.

Walsh's tattoo looks like someone spilt a bottle of ink on a paper towel. I have no idea what is it.

And one of the teams is wearing white! Too bad there's no beach volleyball in Vancouver. :P

I need HD. Or a television. Edit: yup, tape it is. Coming of shoulder surgery.

LOL. I vaguely remember reading on Yahoo! somewhere that lots of people were wondering what it was, and that it looked like a Rorschach inkblot.

They investigated and said it was some sort of tape.

She'd have to drop the Treanor part though.

Nice job for Marleau! Heymans was almost a given to the finals, but a nice surprise from Marleau.

And May-Treanor and Walsh win gold without dropping a set, which they also did in Athens. That's dominant.

Wow, that wrestling rule (last point wins in case of tie) is ridiculous. Almost a disadvantage to score the first point in a round.

Too bad about Ron's Mom.

Not his wife... his mom died.

And I agree about the wrestling. The best of 3 sets is weird. Whatever happened to the old rules where they went to sudden death?

ok i was watching some olympic highlights, and couldn't believe that SPEEDWALKING was an olympic sport. it seems utterly pointless to me not to mention how ridiculous all the "athletes" looked doing it. if we want to trim some events from the olympics, start with that one

and then all the equestrian stuff next

Those "walkers" are motoring... I was watching the other night and they do 5km in about 16 minutes... I would be suprised that too many average runners could do the same

Good job to the Japanese for dethroning the U.S. in the last softball gold medal game in the Olympics (as far as we know)!

Very strong final dive. I just need to jinx that Chinese chick now so Emilie wins the gold.
