The profiles for how it rings. WTF? On loud it only rings 3 times and then I've missed the call. According to my sister, this profile should include vibrate, but it doesn't. Even when I put it on vibrate it doesn't vibe.
Problem#2
How do I sync this thing to my computer to put in schedules so that it notifies me of meetings and calls I need to make at certain times?
Problem#3
Is is possible to set more than one alarm time? I can't seem to do it.
I have more questions but I just remembered (with NO help from my so-called PDA) that I have to be somewhere in 15 minutes.
The lack of vibe is really pissing me off because I can't turn up the ring volume any louder that their version of loud.

I just got one a week ago and mine has vibrate, but I haven't figured out how to sync yet and I don't know about the alarms. If you put it on vibrate and it doesn't vibrate, then you should maybe take the phone back, I think.

To make it vibrate, go into profiles, advanced, and then hit the menu button. There is an option there to create a new profile. You should be able to have a loud + vibe there.

I'm not sure if this is a setting you can change somewhere, but on my BB 8830, it only vibrates if it's in the holster (it has a sensor). If you're holding the device or it's loose in your pocket or something, it won't vibrate. Maybe that was your problem?

If you go into Profiles | Advanced, you can change that setting to always vibrate

There are setting for both in holster and out of. You have to make sure it's set to ring only, and not Vibrate+Ring for both.
What provider are you with, they have spicific settings for number of rings before voicemail picks up, and some are configurable. I know rogers used to be but not anymore, it rings 4 times now. Not sure if telus and bell can be modified but it is carrier spicific.
Syncing is straight forward if you are using Outlook.... Make sure you go into the Sync settings on the software you install, and you have to put check boxes by the TASKS, MEMO, CALENDER, ADDRESS BOOK.

That option is Vibrate... then ring. I haven't seen anything that does both at the same time.

No BB's have ring and vibe at the same time as I understand it.
The best thing to do is get used to the fact that you have to keep your phone close by so you can feel the vibration before it starts to ring.
As far as ringer volume, that was a big issue for me as well. What you need to do is use an MP3 as a ringtone that has a high volume level. All of a sudden you will start noticing when your phone rings. (my general ring tone right now is that crazy loud cresecendo-ing part of Manfred Mann's Blinded by the Light....
As for multiple alarms:
http://forums.crackberry.com/f52/multiple-alarms-5073/
Calendar syncing I don't know about. My work calendaring system is non-standard (it is web-based rather than and outlook or exchange server type app). As such, I haven't even bothered to try to figure it out.

Jesus christ this phone is f'n ######ed. I'm texting someone right now and I'm trying to write I'll. As in 'I'll call you in a bit'. This moronic guessing program is actually guessing U'll. Freaking U'll. What the hell is u'll? Like you'll? Has text talk actually surpassed proper grammar as the most likely guess? I hate this phone. What a waste of money.

Hey 4 x 4 I have always wondered how big a hole the bb would make in my office wall. Will you let me know? I am sure it won't be long until you know. Thanks in advance.

I always wonder why people would choose the Pearl over the Curve? I love my Curve (had the Treo 650 and 700 for 2 years prior) and anybody else I know with a Curve loves it as well. Some Pearl owners I have talked to are not so impressed with the Pearl.

At the time I got my Pearl, Telus didn't have the Curve yet... Had I waited, I would have missed the deal with the $30 unlimited browsing and email. One of these days I may get a Curve, but I've gotten used to the Pearl and I may just wait for the Bold, even though it will be another year or two probably before a CDMA version comes out.
