Help me convince my roommate we don't have alien overlords
My roommate has been persuaded by the site http://www.lloydpye.com/ that some aliens called the Annunaki, from an undiscovered planet in our solar system, showed up on earth, modified hominoid DNA, gave the Samarians corn and ploughs, built the pyramids, and made us mine for gold for them.
Oh and I nearly forgot: they are coming back in 2012 and there is going to be hell to pay.
He is honestly convinced of all this and my girlfriend and I are worried about him.

I'm assuming that 2012 date is 12/12/12 (how come no aliens showed up on 7/7/7, or 8/8/8?), so you could do something like this:
1) Convince him to sign over all his belongings to you effective December 13th, 2012. He's not going to need anything if the aliens are coming to melt his brain.
2) Wait until said date.
3) Profit!!! (because no aliens showed up).
What does he plan on doing about it? Tell him that thems the breaks, sometimes life throws you curveballs and now hes 4 years to live life to the fullest.
Then in 2012, if the Aliens dont come back then you can rob him blind and get away free.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.

the reason that 12/12/12 is the day everyone keeps saying is the end of the world is because its twice as bad as 6/6/6
Convince him its not true? Why?? You're sitting on a potential comedic gold mine there my friend! I'd be playin that up like nobody's business. Just be sittin there on the couch chillin with him the odd time and suddenly look out the window all startled and be like "Oh NO!! Here they come!!!"
Seriously though, it sounds like your buddy has some mental probs, he's probably slightly schitzophrentic. I knew a guy like that when I was livin in Vancouver 3-4 years ago. He always thought there were helicopters or somethin outside his 26th floor apartment window. He'd seriously be nervous to roll up a doob even in his own house, thinkin they'd kick down the door and arrest him over it. It was somethin else...
One of the things he has come to believe: other primates have 48 chromosomes while humans only have 46. The only explanation: aliens have tampered with our DNA.
Tell him to google and youtube the million other things people think will happen on 2012. They cant all come true. I'm actually reading a book called 2012 The Return of Quetzalcoatl by Daniel Pinchbeck. Its covers most of the stuff people are talking about, not all of it end of the world scary stuff. Great read if for nothing else entertainment.

I went through the first slideshow on what is essentially the "Genesis" part of this theory. It all seems like a ized version of ID, but with aliens instead of God running the show.
Someone with a background in actual science could probably pick it apart pretty easily. I don't have a background in any science, but it looks quite goofy and refutable to me. A lot of absolutes and big assumptions/conclusions. And they use a lot of (what I assume) are true geological numbers in to demonstrate the 'point'. It's like he's saying "what we know about the age of the earth is true so I'll use it, but I don't get the biology stuff, so it was aliens".
I know the legend your roommate is talking about, it's a real interesting story, Sunday Dec 23, 2012, Maya Calendar, Planet X, Nibiru, the Anunnaki, the Sumerian, the Illuminati, stories from India, China and Native America of the "dark night/great flood" 3600 years ago, there must be hundreds of youtube video's on the subject.
