I get it that he was upset about not winning gold. What of these allegations of "politics" though? And why did he get in a pissing match with the judges?

Got to admit, I am rooting against that American swimmer who is going for 8 gold medals.

Not sure.. he was mad about his semifinal loss.
I don't know much about wrestling other than you get points for certain holds and you win if you can pin your opponent? Maybe he didn't get points when he should have and his opponent did?
Like Boxing! You hit the other guy square in the face and he gets the point

The manager was distracting the refs and they totally missed the Swede pinning his opponent for a solid three count.

LOL.
You beat me to it - I was going to suggest J.R. Foley was somehow involved.

What a loser.
Maybe the guy has a legitimate beef about the officiating, but this just reeks of poor sportsmanship, which really is missing the entire point of the Olympics.

Actually, I don't blame him - a solid three-count pin and no call? Terrible officiating. And a manager distracting the ref? Sounds like WWE. Shedding blood, sweat and tears to get to that point and have it ruined by poor officiating is a kick in the nuts. I hope he contests the decision.
Reminds me of the Sale / Pelletier debacle in 2002.

Perhaps he was just upset because someone stole his meatballs.

He's just frustrated that Mats hasn't made a decision yet. Now instead of winning gold and being the talk of Sweden, he'll have to endure more talk about what Mats Sundin will do.

Yeah man, plus he got hit with a foreign object the other wrestler was hiding in his tights!
Why the IOC hasn't outlawed foreign objects during greco-roman wrestling is beyond me.

Okay, I'm really not sure if you're being sarcastic or not.
Normally I'd assume you were, but making the remark about the WWE sort of takes the hilarity out of it if you were, so either it isn't sarcastic or it isn't funny.
Edit: Okay now that I've reread your post a few times, I'm certain that you're serious and totally missed the sarcasm of the first post.
BTW three counts don't exist in amateur wrestling.
