Default m4p to wav

I'm looking for help converting a song that is m4p to wav.

Any suggestions from the tech world? I don't really want to buy a program to do 1 song.

Thanks..

sorry, I have a converter and would offer to do it for you but I'm moving tomorrow and my computer is all boxed up. I'm sure there are tons of converters out there that will allow for a 10 day trial or something.

I've tried a few converter programs but the trail editions crop the file down, usually 90 seconds... Thanks though.

I've had success with DB Power Amp in the past. I have an old free version that I used to do these kind of audio conversions; but I don't know if the free versions that they have on their site now, will allow you to do this or not. If they don't, let me know and I can look at trying to convert it for you.

Just out of curiosity, why do you want to make an .mp4 into a .wav?

The .wav will sound identical to the .mp4, but be approx. 10X bigger in size. Once a .wav is dithered down to an .mp4 a ton of audio data is lost permanently, and is not returned if the file is converted back into a .wav file.

Also, get AUDACITY from download.com

Best free audio program I have used. Find the LAME Mp3 codec (.dll) and then you're good to go.

Thanks for the help. The file is a song that a friend wrote, and I have in iTunes as a mp4. I'm creating a small video to post online and the program I'm using (Windows Movie Maker )... , doesn't support mp4 files.
