There is a bunch of self-fellatio at that site with all the thanking. Kinda made me sick to my stomach.

Hmmm if this guy saw my car HE would be sick to his stomach. I've let it become a total wreck. I'm embarrassed when a truck or SUV pulls up next to me.

wow. The amount of work that guy has done to his car is insane. It must be a show car of some sort.
The kind of attention to detail this guy has is crazy. There is no way I could do that. I would have to hire someone to do that work if I wanted my car that detailed.

Do your think they are referring to CP on this thread?
Or is it being discussed on several forums.....
I'm sure there are more topic-relevant forums than CP that they're worried about.

First of all, it was a brand new car, it doesnt need to be detailed that extensively.

Secondly, I dont think you could pay a detailer to do that kind of work for you. I sincerely doubt anyone but the most professional of detailers goes that far. What this man is doing can only be called a labour of love.

And thirdly, boo arsenal. (Sorry, I just wanted to do that.)

I hate idiots who double park to protect their vehicles. A few dings on your car from parking lots is part of the gig in my book plus your vehicle is a depreciating asset.

Oh, I know it was a brand new car. But even new cars from the factory have imperfections. Just his idea of perfection is a lot more extreme than 99% of the rest of the population. But going through the pics he posted, and the spots he pointed out, I could see what he was talking about, just I personally would not care that much.

And no, no detailer would go to that extreme. You would have to hire someone like him to get that kind of attention to detail.

And that attention to detail undoubtedly cost him tens of thousands of dollars and hundreds of man hours.

I kind of like the parts where he's putting the dynomat in and he asks the guy if he can remove the glue that no one will ever see once the door panel is on. I guess he knows it's there so it would bug him if he didn't take it off.

I generally make it a point to park on their doors anyway. If the lines don't matter to them, why should they matter to me?

Besides, those jackholes are the one type of driver whom you can expect wont put a dent in your door in retaliation.

I don't mind parking further away to try to avoid door dings, but if you take more than one spot to try to do that, then you're just asking for your car to be dinged IMO.
