With the 52nd pick, Jagger (Team Ekki) selects 12 Angry Men in the Black and White category.

Okay, sorry for the delay, but here is team snoogans second round pick, god knows what overall number, in the documentary category, Bowling for Columbine.

"Bowling for Columbine" is an alternately humourous and horrifying film about the United States. It is a film about the state of the Union, about the violent soul of America. Why do 11,000 people die in America each year at the hands of gun violence? The talking heads yelling from every TV camera blame everything from Satan to video games. But are we that much different from many other countries? What sets us apart? How have we become both the master and victim of such enormous amounts of violence? This is not a film about gun control. It is a film about the fearful heart and soul of the United States, and the 280 million Americans lucky enough to have the right to a constitutionally protected Uzi.
"Bowling for Columbine" was the first documentary film accepted into competition at the Cannes Film Festival in 46 years. The Cannes jury unanimously awarded it the 55th Anniversary Prize. From a look at the Columbine High School security camera tapes to the home of Oscar-winning NRA President Charlton Heston, from a young man who makes homemade napalm with The Anarchist's Cookbook to the murder of a six-year-old girl by another six-year-old, "Bowling for Columbine" is a journey through America, and through our past, hoping to discover why our pursuit of happiness is so riddled with violence.

I'm sorry, it just had to be done. It's a pretty damn good documentary that could have also been picked under the award winner category.

"Documentary" is subjective when it comes to Moore.

I knew that was bound to come up but like I said, this one can also fit in the award winner category.

Czure....brilliant choice with Young Frankenstein (cue the neighing horse). My very favorite Mel Brooks movie, even better than Blazing Saddles IMO.

and it's funny because I love Mel Brooks and hate this movie. Just didn't do it for me at all. But there is a great Simpson's quote about it.

"And your movie, young Frankenstein, scared the hell outta me!"

I LOVE both Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein. Brilliant movies and were near the top of my list. Great choices.

Boy, the draft has been moving these few days I was away. Glad that 12 Angry Men was still available. It might quite possibly be the one movie I can watch again and again. Fantastic character study, superb direction and camera work. Just one of the best movies of all time imo. Seems like a steal to me at the position it went.

Some more "12 Angry Men" clips.

And here's a re-enactment by Brandon Hardesty which is just perfect. It's worth checking out his other clips on you tube too.

Damn you Jagger... it is a steal where you got it. It was going to be even more of a steal where I was trying to get it, with my next pick. I was thinking there was a chance... (get it?)

To be fair tho, while Moore's obvious bias is present and very visible - he so thoroughly fact checks every piece of information that he can't be sued because it is true - if spun on a dime to say what he wants.

Congrats sadora on the choice, that was on my list of top 4 docs I was looking to choose!

You know, this is a really fun draft. Lot's of good movies have been taken already, along with some incredible off the board picks, but there are absolutely thousands upon thousands of great movies left to pick from.
Who else had even heard of "Hiroshima Mon Amour" before this draft? I'll check it out now though.

Good times indeed. Thanks GirlySports again for coming up with this unique draft concept. It's sure kept the off season more interesting. Kudos.

With the 53rd pick in the CP Movie Draft, StrayBullet proudly selects, Zoolander, starring Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson. Zoolander will be represented in Comedy.

Poking fun at the fashion culture with its absurd storyline with even more ridiculous characters -- Zoolander captured this movie-goer's, heart with it's foolishness, awkward slapstick and Will Ferrell's, 'Mugatu'. Endless and unforgettable cameos from the likes of Billy Zane, Fabio, Paris Hilton and David Bowie. ...And anytime a film plays Wham's, 'Wake Me Up, Before You Go-Go' during a gasoline fight, while drinking Orange Mocha Frappucinos with 4 "guud looking, male models" is bound for endless laughs.

A 'Best Of' montage compiled by a YouTube user. It's a decent one for the people who haven't seen it.
