Any good local traditional Chinese herbalists?

I'm interested in supplementing my diet (I eat pretty healthily) with some herbal alternatives to over-the-counter vitamins. I have had some issues in the past with Crohn's Disease as well as currently battling acute anemia.

I've been reading up a bit on it, and while I'm skeptical about a lot of fads around holistic treatments, Traditional Chinese Medicine has a pretty good track record and I'd like to give it a try.

My dad used to see the guy who works on the main floor of the Chinese Cultural Centre in Chinatown. Apparently he's quite excellent, and we're fairly sure it extended my dad's life by a few months before succumbing to liver cancer. My dad's friend's grandfather used to go to him too. He had lung cancer, which he was able to battle for 10 years before just passing of old age.

If you know what you're looking for and just want to purchase it, there's herbal stores at both TNT supermarkets, as well as one upstairs in New Asia Supermarket on the corner of 16th and Centre St.

Thanks, I'll look into that. Right now, I'm probably more comfortable avoiding the self-medicating route and should stick to a prescribed regimen.
