Perez Hilton says, "WNBA Girls Gone Wild". It's not anything you wanna see, but at the same time it's healthy competition in a league struggling to find an audience. I understand that it's WNBA, but in their case, any attention is attention they never received before.

First link is an aftermath interview. Second is on Perez's site with the entire 5 minutes.

I was going to bed late last night and I saw the clip on the Score and burst out laughing, probably woke some people up around me. The best part is when that lady tries to get into it and a male coach just tosses her to the ground. Hilarious!

Edit: Is that Qbert staring someone down on your profile?

I liked how the PG from the Sparks jumped up to punch Rick Mahorn, who is a bonafied bad-a$$ and then proceeded to run away towards the bench.

...and no, that's not Q-Bert. This dude is about 200 pounds more than Q!

Rick Mahorn might have just scuttled his coaching career. I seriously think that he was out there to quell the fight and be a peacemaker, however someone with a particular agenda will spin this that he hit a woman and that will be the end of any possibility of him ever being a head coach.

Too bad - I loved the Pistons of the late 80s and Bill Laimbeer is still my favorite player of all time.

For a league that consistently struggles with legitimacy, this cannot help. I understand that Lieberman is arguably the best woman to ever lace 'em up, but come on.

Shock sign 50-year-old Lieberman to seven-day contract:

Ira Lowenstein: Until you did that, I couldn't tell if you were... drunk or dead.
Jimmy Dugan: It was made very clear to me what I'm supposed to do here. I smile, wave my little hat... I did that, so when do I get paid?
Ira Lowenstein: Now, Jimmy, you have some pretty good ballplayers here. You ought to give them a little bit of your...
Jimmy Dugan: [interrupting] Ballplayers. I don't have ballplayers, I've got girls. Girls are what you sleep with after the game, not, not what you coach during the game.
[spits]
Ira Lowenstein: If we paid you a little bit more, Jimmy, do you think you could be just a little more disgusting?
Jimmy Dugan: [brightly] Well, I could certainly use the money.

Anyone else see SC the other night when they were discussing the suspensions? It was last night or the night before and just as they cut to the next segment Dan O'toole or Jay Onrait said "is that even a real sport?".

Although hilarious it seemed a little unprofessional. However they had ealier made comments about how this was only like the 5th time they've ever showed WNBA highlights.
