It was just that performance I thought he looked huge.

I'm excited about the new album. There have been a few different riffs released, and while it isn't like And Justice for All, or Master of Puppets(nothing ever will be)....it still sounds good.
Quite possibly the worst sounding metal album ever made.

Great songs, but my god what were they thinking? It comes out of the speakers like the stereo is made of chunky soup cans.

Your opinion.

If you don't like the stuff, why listen to it?

I loved their early work a lot! Especially Ride the Lightning, which I consider to be to metal as Kind of Blue is to Jazz...a really perfect example of the genre.

Justice for All is great songs, recorded poorly.

I'm the rarest of the rare: I love the old stuff, but I also love the post Black Album era, with the exception of St Anger.

Another album with good songs, recorded like ass.

I'm so happy they fired Bob Rock...he's destroyed more bands drugs, booze, girls, and the internet combined.

I like all their albums but with St. Anger I find that there's really only two or three songs that I'd seek out on my iPod to listen to and the rest I'd either just let it play if it happens to come on, or skip the song outright. Any other album I can put it on and happily listen from start to finish.

Well I know that some of the wrestlers I've seen live are smaller than they look on TV so that could be the case with you. I met him not very long after that and he didn't look like anyone you would think was on steroids. Why would a musician have to use steroids anyway?

And where did you get he was addicted to cocaine? Even Newsted said after leaving the band it wasn't drugs he was addicted to:

"Jason: I think that one thing that really needs to be cleared up, that I'm not sure how it's been misconstrued, is that the other addictions have nothing to do with substances. As long as I have known him, he has never touched anything other than alcohol. I know for a fact that he's never done any kind of amphetamines, cocaine or anything like that in his life EVER. I know he's never done LSD or ecstasy or any of that EVER. Any of that thing that people think has to do with drugs is completely wrong."

"And as far as the music goes...Metallica were cool because they wrote songs about cool things (Ride the Lightning is all about different ways to die !) because they had cool opinions/positions on a lot of important issues."
Well Death Magnetic is suppose to deal around the topic of death so that should make you happy.

and the need to make a movie about them getting therapy is weak and lame,
They didn't need to make it. It was suppose to be a "Making of St. Anger" video that with all that happened turned into something more. The therapist was not to suppose to be there that long but ended up sticking around with all the problems they had. They thought about not continuing but wanted to share that whole experience with them almost being no more with the fans that stuck with them. You can call it "uncool" and not the "metal" thing to do but one thing about them is they do what they want to do and not what's expected of them to do.

They played Cyanide at Ozzfest. Quality isn't that great, at least the version I heard.

I remain without opinion. Its nothing like St. Anger....which is good.

Cool, didn't know there was video of a new song, thanks for pointing that out. Sounds pretty cool, I am getting more excited about the new disc.

Question about Guitar Hero III because I am too lazy to find the answer myself: is it a drums and guitar game like Rock Band? I hope you can buy just the disc, and not the whole set. I would imagine you could, I just have no use for a drum set.

GH3 is just the guitar. GH4 is drums, guitar and microphone but yes you can get the game by itself. That's what I'll probably end up doing since I already have Rock Band but I do plan on getting a new set of drums since I don't like how loud the Rock Band ones are. As far as guitars go I don't think I'll be getting another until GH: Metallica comes out.

On principle, I will download Metallica's new CD. Because of them, Napster (the greatest thing in music in 20 years) got shut down. So I won't be spending any money on them, or their record company.

There's 50 billion downloading programs out there. Get over it. One gets shut down and ten more open up.
