Could be a pretty weird day. The storm chasing nerds (of which I am one) were getting pretty excited yesterday by the way things were shaping up for today. However, it appears we may not be in for quite as much extreme weather as we though....in Calgary and area anyway. Things might still get good down Medicine Hat way, and up through Coronation. We shall see.

Looks like I'll miss it, I'm heading out west to the mountains this afternoon.
As long as the weather is nice in Invermere for my tee time at Eagle Ranch

Just as long as there are no power outages. I will seriously cry if the power goes out while I'm watching The Dark Knight tonight.

It's a HUGE mess there right now... 2 significant systems looking to cross paths.
And they are still seeding the clouds like crazy..

Sorry friend, I don't know. Just going off what I've heard second-hand.
I don't think I'm joking.

The lightning is getting pretty good in the north. My back is to a north facing window. I can see lighting reflecting off my computer monitor, and when I turn around to look out the window I still have time to see 2-3 more strikes. Pretty crazy.
Is it just me or is this site populated by an abnormal number of people with weather fetishes? Not a bad thing ... i'm just saying.

Be a neat site to see. Just dark clouds here in Edmonton but nothing cool like a severe thunderstorm warning

There seem to be 5 or 6 significant cells floating around, and the weather modification people aren't even paying attention to the ones in the NW, and around airdrie... All their attention appers focused on the 2 big ones to the west/southwest of the city.
Just say lightning downtown.. and the systems are not even that close yet....
