This was gonna be my recommendation, I've used it before as well. Truly amazing how it neutralizes the smell. Before I knew of this mixture my dog was sprayed once at 11:55pm on a camping trip, not a fun night/drive home. I now buy extra and take all 3 every time I go camping.

Yeah, I'm definitely a believer now. Things seem a little less dire this morning. A few rooms still have a faint smell, but it's dissipated a lot overnight. The dog actually smells fine.

I have spotted many skunks in the fairview area over the past 6 months, hell yesterday looked out the front window @ about 1:00 am to see one walking across my lawn. Anyone know of any skunk deterents that may prevent my dog from the same agony if one were to wander into her "playground" ?

Apparently they hate the smell of ammonia. That's all I got.

Using scent as a skunk deterrent ........... slightly ironic.

(Edit : Found these pellets that smell of fox as well http://www.critter-repellent.com/sku...nk-control.php)

Quit taking her to the Oiler's fans picnic?

Anyhow, we phoned the animal bylaw officers, they set up traps etc and said, put lots of mothballs under the steps and keep it wet there. Multiple bags of mothballs never helped one iota, those skunks were there for 3 weeks, finally they moved on to the next door neighbors front steps. I think it was mainly all the water we put under the steps that deterred them.
