do give them a shout first ... I'd hate for you to show up and find out they didn't have any left. They had them all in the back so I'm not sure how many they had. Good luck!

There were 10 left of 8 gigs at Fido in Marketmall. You have been warned.
If you like pain and torture you should go there. hehe

One question to those that use it, how do you configure it to use the canadian store? It won't let me download apps because i'm not in the US.

Is your apple ID hooked up to the Canada store in iTunes?

I don't have a BB or Treo or any type of smartphone. Just a regular moto razr. That's why I don't think it will get added to my plan.

Bahh.. I ended up missing them. I called and they said they had a few left. Hurried on over there only to see somebody pick up the last one who must have gotten there max 10 minutes before me. =( Another few weeks for me I guess. I appreciate the update though!

As far as I've heard, every phone is allowed. Give it a try. What's the worst that they're going to do, say no?

I have another quick question for those that say I can simply add data to my current voice plan. How do I get an iPhone without signing up for a new contract? If I were to get a new contract, my current sweet plan would be null and void since it is not being offered anymore.

Others have got an iPhone and a new contract on their existing plans. I had a choice and the plan I was on isn't offered anymore. It's just the signing up for a 3 year contract that gets the iPhone. Check out the many threads on howard forums for more info. I think the only plans they are denying are the ones that don't pay a SAF.
If the person you get says no, just hang up and call back and try again.
As far as getting an iPhone without a contract until they offer it without a contract here your choices are either eBay, or sign up a new number, get the phone, then cancel the contract and pay the $400 penalty.

Phone came in yesterday. The white looks even better up close than it did in the pictures I saw!
Definitely loving it.

Bah I'm so tempted to drop my telus phone and go for this, paying $65 a month for pretty boring plan, and nice nokia phone from 2yrs ago
If you were to pick fido/rogers for a first timer, which would you go with?

Fido for me.. earlier evenings, per second billing.
No My5 though, and costs extra to access the Rogers network.

I went with Rogers becuase (*puts on shame helmet*) There are only really 4-5 people I end up calling 95% of the time. Not as popular as I used to be! My minutes per month are pretty low on my plan, but the my5 is going to save me huge amounts of minutes.

I just switched to Fido from Rogers for the earlier evenings and per second billing. Plus I've had some absolute nightmares with Rogers' customer service.

Bah! this is an angry bump. I ordered the zagg invisible shield and it arrived today. Application was not really a treat at all. There are these odd tabs on the side that need to hug the corners and after one hour of fiddling with them my entire purchase is pretty much screwed. The adhesive side is now covered in fingerprints and cat hair. Guess we'll get to see how good the refund policy is

When installing those things go very slow and careful, and do it in a clean room, not a dusty dirty desk.
Easiest way to get a really good clean room is to do it in the bathroom which you've steamed up for quite a while, the moisture in the air cleans up the floating dust.
