Baby Cigars
My buddy and his girlfriend just had a baby this morning, and we're going down to the hospital at around 4:30pm to see the baby and wish them congratulations. Anyone know where you can buy "It's A Boy!/It's A Girl!" cigars? Keep in mind I live in Edmonton, so I'm more refering to a chain(ie Mac's, San Francisco, etc) rather than a specific location(unless you live in Edmonton and can answer that for me).

I don't think your friend would be impressed if you gave cigars to their baby

Nonsense, it's gotta grow up and be a man sometime. Cut the ambilical cord already .
...ya I purposely made the title like that, figured I'd get more views(and hopefully more help) that way. Goddamn I'm clever...

Purdye's chocolates has chocolate "baby" cigars. Other chocolate stores may have the same. Check the mall.

Oh ya I wasn't actually planning on lighting one up, as I'm sure he is not either, both of us don't smoke. It's more of a joke if anything, I know he'll appreciate it. More of a momento than anything else...

Once again Locke is posting on an internet forum during prime drinking and fornicating hours in a foreign country. "Europe" is just some sort of codeword for "my mom's basement", isn't it?

Maybe I'm old fashioned, but isn't your buddy supposed to give you a cigar? He is the one who had the baby. I mean, its a little wierd to hand a new father a cigar announcing that he just had a baby. When my son was born last year, I was the one who gave out the cigars.
Try any smoke shop that sells cigars.

On Whyte Ave / 103st (or so) might be your best bet. Its across the street from chapters.
EDIT : if you get him fancy cigars, make sure to get him the proper matches too. You don't want a nice cigar to be ruined by a gas taste.

To be completely honest, I have absolutely no idea. Is that how it works? This is the first person I know to have had a kid, I'm a rook. I guess I didn't see it as an announcement, but more as a congratulations.

In that case you must be too young to have watched uncensored Bugs Bunny cartoons. Then you would know how it works once the stork brings the baby.

Laura Secord and Purdys sell the chocolate ones. I found the chocolate cigars were more appreciated then real cigars.
