I agree - think I mentioned it in the Hitmen thread. They are selling hockey tickets not Monster Trucks.

Every commercial on the Fan sucks. I make a point to change the station when they aren't doing a segment.

I thought it was "what team looms ..." but that doesn't even make sense either, and it took me a long, long time to figure that one out.
I've always wondered what the guys at the Fan do during the 10 minutes out of every 20 that they are not broadcasting. They're obviously not writing commercials.

radio commercials often anger me greatly, especially when they're 1.5x louder than the music. Or have any sort of annoying sirens/horns/babies crying/people screaming/etc

Jeez ahmen to that. I don't mind Richards at all for a few laughs in the morning even though I feel like they've gotten away from what was funny but how do they get away with him being on the air for 31 minutes in an hour and terrible, annoying commercials with a few 30 second updates in the other 29 minutes of the hour?
I travel 2000.com anyone? 1-800-267-200and1

I'm serious, too. If someone who works in the field could fill me in, that'd be great. I'm joking around a bit too, because there are A LOT of commercials, but I'm really curious as to what is going on during those commercials.

I don't like commercials that use sirens or horns. I always look around to find the police car. Then feel dumb. Then change the station.

calgaryjobshop ads are fantastic.
Professionaly voiced, well written with actual characters and storylines and they still get the point across.
Brilliant radio ads.

Keep in mind here people is that it's AM. Anything other than Alarm Force or CJS.ca is probably a combo deal done with Jack or Lite. No one buys AM, which everyone should, cause it's so damn cheap, which is why these commercials air ALL THE TIME.
I have to side with Jiri on this one. As far as some of the crap they play, they are well written and produced.
It's the ones with the actual FAN voices (Richards, Saddler, etc) that I can't stand. There's nothing to them, just straight voice.
