Yea, chid says she'll be there but may be a bit late. If we can, let's try to rotate my friend (Kelly) in for an inning or two and see if she'd be a good sub. If chid is a bit late, we'll get Kelly to start the game. There's no way she's as un-good as my sister...

Good luck you guys, I'm up waiting for our designated beer delivery guy to get here. We had to send him into Brussels because our little town isnt open on Sundays and we're all outta booze and sobering fast.

When he gets here we're going to play some drunken soccer as a continuation of last night, they're all pissed that the Canadian schooled 'em.

So, I too will be playing drunken sports on Sunday like I should be....

And if you win I will demand my champagne share when I get back!

I have been MIA the last few weeks. Sorry everyone, haven't been checking this thread.

So how has the SW team been faring? I know my team has been off, so I hope they have been practicing. I played tonight in the other league for the first time in 2 weeks, and the hitting was a little sub-par.

Looking forward to seeing Central team tomorrow with their game faces on. Good luck to us!

We (SW) jumped out to a 7-0 lead after one, then let the other team crawl back in. So a close-ish loss in game 1.

Game 2 we led for a while then fell behind. We ended up losing 20-18 in a thriller. We really needed to have a brawl though...one of thier hitters went up the middle at our pitcher (Banffgirl) his first 2 AB. That's fine, it is part of the game, but most people would say, "sorry pitch" at the least. He said nothing. His third at bat, Banffgirl said, "try not to hit me" he responded with, "maybe you should have better reactions." She didn't tell us that till after the game. Guy deserved something...

Oh well. We had a great time at the pub again. Drinking games galore. Moose game, signs, and sevens. Dangerous. Once again our August tourney will be out of control!!!!! Love the SW!!!

We really came together a lot in that last game, really gelled a lot more... then of course plenty of gelling at the pub. Cannot wait for the tourney!!!

Oh man, I guess I could have helped calm that situation down a little. After Banffgirl said "try not to hit me" he turned to me and the ump and said "at least she's paying attention". I think he was just refering to her remembering it was him that did it both times.

PS: Pete's live hand grenade pub. Let's start the paperwork.

i think we have almost recreated every war at peanuts with peanuts. I think next should be civil war re-enactment. I think we might be cut off the peanuts though. And as Aeneas and I saw if Jodi doesnt want you in the pub she calls you 3 cabs each.
