My fridge doesn't work so I usually don't have milk on hand. So, I have powdered milk. And because of this I have discovered a way to get KD (and other Mac & Cheeses) ridiculously creamy.
While the noodles are cooking, grab a bowl. Add the cheese powder and about a tablespoon and a half of powered milk to the bowl. Slowly add a bit of water at a time to make a paste that is a tad runny. After the noodles are cooked, drain, add the butter so it melts, then add the paste mixture.
I will never use the standard recipe again, the results are awesome.

I suppose I should have used green type, but I thought the sarcasm was evident!
I won't even mention the special days when I add brown beans to it.

Ketchup, lots of pepper and a cut up hot-dog or smokie. It'll do in a pinch.

I've bought this stuff and found it didn't taste anything like the stuff out of the KD box. Not sure why, if it isn't actual Kraft cheese powder or if it isn't fresh, being in a bulk bin instead of a vacuum sealed packet?

Wow tomatoes in Macaroni. havent tried that. Im going to have to try that.
I put tons of ketchup on it..dont like it plain or with pepper. I used to have this obsession with drinking FRUIT PUNCH and i couldnt have my Mac and Cheese with any other drink.

Am I the only one here (not to be a debbie downer) that absolutely cannot stand KD/Mac N Cheese? Even the smell of the cheese sauce makes me gag and almost puke.

Start with 2 cups of milk and 1/4 cup of butter. Microwave until butter is melted. Then add 2 tbsp of flour, 1/2 tbsp paprika, 1/2 tbsp cayenne, 1 tbsp dry mustard. Microwave after each ingredient to thicken. Then add 2 cups each of old cheddar and mozzarella cheese. Microwave and stir often. Add salt and pepper to taste if you wish.
While you're doing all of this, cook 3 cups of macaroni. When it has completed, pour half the macaroni in a casserole dish, then pour in half the cheese sauce and stir. Pour the other half of the macaroni in and then pour the other half of the cheese sauce on top (don't stir this time). I like to add some parmesan on top at the end ads well. Bake uncovered at 350F for 20 minutes and serve.

I usually have it plain or with a can of tuna mixed in. Will have to try it with the tuna and some peas, as someone earlier had suggested.
When I was a kid, mum would make it according to directions with slices of green pepper and cherry tomatoes (fresh from my dad's garden) on the side. For some reason, that brings back fond memories.

That's one way to do it. I just take a tomato, chop it up, and throw that on the side of my KD. Sometimes, I even just squeeze the tomato innards out and mix that into the KD. The cheese tomato combination is fantastic.
