Default Youtube?

Every second video I click on says 'this video is no longer available.'

Whats up with that?

Are you looking for material that might be copyrighted?

It was doing that to me too yesterday. Every video I clicked on was "no longer available".

It's fine now, though, so it's just something wrong with the website.

Not really....although some of it is probably copyrighted.

There were a few user videos that said the same thing.

I had the same problem earlier today. Went back a few hours later and things were working. My bet is the site had tempoprary problems.

What I'm reading now when I search google is that Youtube might have removed the videos due to copyright infringement.

So did they remove every single video?

Because for the last month or so It seems like every video I try to watch isnt working. Annoying because many are videos that fellow CPers post so obviously they just watched them but I cant.

Any advise?

Based on how my favourites list has been decimated, it looks like MLB is being anal about copyright. NHL, not as much.

Yup, I would say due to the lawsuits that have been filed against them that Youtube is starting to get rid of the copyrighted stuff. Too bad, it is really messing up my CP music draft posts.

If your videos no longer play and you updated to Firefox 3, follow these instructions:

Download adobe flash uninstaller and uninstall the flash player by following instructions on that page.

http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer10_ax.html

Download and install adobe flash player 10.0 beta(Plugin for Windows (EXE, 1.76 MB)

http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer10.html

Thor is right - many videos will work on Internet Explorer, but not Firefox.

See, its different from computer to computer.

Which tells me its not a 'video removed due to copyright violation' problem.

I found IE had a bunch of videos removed whereas on Firefox I had no problem. One difference is that on Firefox, I'm signed in, but on IE I'm not.
