When are the Alien Invaders coming, because I have things to do.
Have a fine Independance Day.

Thanks fellas, and a Happy belated Canada Day to you. I told a lot of people down here Happy Canada Day on Tuesday, got some strange looks and even a few "Hey Thanks!".
I appreciate the holiday, but I'm not a big fireworks guy. Some people go crazy with it down here...and two of them live in our cul-de-sac. Will be a late night for me tonight and I have to go to work tomorrow!
Happy 4th Americans.

I hope you take this opportunity to enjoy some Freedom Toast for breakfast and Freedom Fried with lunch or dinner.
Seriously, have an enjoyable Independance Day ... hopefully you can find Will Smith before the alien attack obliterates us all!

I got a nice sunburn wandering around Ottawa today thinking someone somewhere might be doing something for Independence Day. Nope! Some random Canadian military marching band on the lawn of Parliament added the Star Spangled Banner to their repertoire but otherwise mum was the word. No sign of life at the bunker-like American embassy except for some Navy SEALesque dudes chatting away in their little guards box.

Are you back for good or just visiting the homeland?

Thanks! I also got married in Canada 4 years ago on July 4th....so its my wedding anniversary. Now that I live in California, it's great since my anniversary is always a holiday, and my husband has no excuse to forget our anniversary since it's the day he lost HIS independance. Haha those were the jokes at our wedding reception.

Did you guys hear Bill Pullman's awesome speech? What a President...
Expect him to swoop in late during the the upcoming elections and claim victory.

I have no idea how the people in my neighborhood can afford 3 hours worth of nonstop fireworks. I'm not joking, it was insane.
Glad I don't have to buy them though!
Oh, and they are shooting them off tonight as well. Not as extensively of course.
