To butcher Shakespeare, Azure, doth protest too much.

Being a lurker for a long time I can attest to the fact that Lanny McDonald used you as regular doormat in most threads on this board. This got to you after a while and it showed. You seem to know this poster's ban history pretty well so I wouldn't be surprised if you were responsible for some of those actions. Its okay, he was a bully at times and some people just don't like having their lunch taken away from them, so they do what they have to.

Not been around too long, have you?

Talk to Photon and Bingo about Lanny's history on here. It hardly has anything to do with me. I just happened to 'ask' about it after he was banned the last time.

If I were a betting man, I would say that AnarChrist is the "reincarnation" of Lanny. Not surprised a post pops up in this thread after the moustached ones name came up a few times.

But hey, that is just my guess. It's not like I have proof as I did with the cooler boy.

Join date has little to do with this Azure. I lurked for years and then decided to join the fray. I wasn't that successful at getting my voice heard so I thought it best to remain on the sidelines. I tend to comment only when something jumps out at me as needing to be said. I've added my comment and I stand by it. You protest way too much, especially for how often the poster in question ripped you and your arguments apart. Save the innocent act though as I don't find it convincing. Some may, but your comments in this thread seem to tip your hand.

To reiterate what Photon said - if there is too much discussion about one poster - the thread will be locked. So let's move on from Lanny shall we?

You would be incorrect sir. Feel free to check my short posting history if you so desire. It should be short enough that you will find the proof that I am not what you accuse me of.

This board's ban policy is a very good one, I've found. Over on hfboards, posters are never spoken of again. Never allowed to question anything over there. Sort of a pointless 1984ish policy.

Oh, so that's what happened to Lanny, he used to quote me in his sig on a few of occasions, once for me saying the Canadian dollar would hit $1.10 and another time for saying Kiprusoff's Cap hit would be less then 6 million, and many times on the Flames youth making the roster which they did eventually did, Boyd, Lombardi, Saprykin...

Actually it looks more like we've expressing more sentiments of missing certain posters and positive memories of them rather than attacking anyone. If anything, it feels more like we're defending them because they aren't around to defend themselves.

Put me in the group that misses Lanny and Gordon…I always gave him a hard time but it was all in good fun

I don’t know why either of them got banned but I’m sure the Mods had a good reason

Hahahaha

But, isn't HF the biggest hockey board on the Internet? There's some quality posters on that board, but the 30-team kool-aid DEFINTELY runs rampant there; there's a couple Oiler fans on that site that I have beef with because of their lube-filled glasses.
