They're not "Jewish traits"--they're things that are used in stereotypical portraits of Jews in anti-semitic literature. If you're not familiar with those portraits, you may not see it I guess. Trust me when I say that if you look at the portraits of Jews in Nazi political cartoons from the 1930s, you'll see an instant resemblance.

Unfortunately it is anti-semitic. For the reasons IFF stated. Disgusting really. Wow I didn't even think FOX news could sink this low.

TBQH, neither did I. I was never a fan of theirs, but this is actually lower than the "baby-mama" racist innuendo, or the "terrorist fist-bump" nonsense--just because it's so much more blatant. Like they're trying to see how much they can get away with.

I think it is due to the fact that a lot of their viewership is anti-semitic and connect the New York Times with Jewish people. That's really part of the hatred a lot of ignorant people have about the New York Times, it's part of the "jew media".
I want to make clear that the people I'm talking about are the ignorant racists demographic rather than the conservative or people who think the New York Times is too liberal demographic.

Absolutely--not all conservatives are racists, and many liberals are racists too.
But seeing a major news network peddling this kind of hatred really turns your stomach, regardless of what their intended audience is. But if you listen to some of the anti-semitic comments of certain religious zealots in the extreme right, the conflation of "New York Times elitism" and anti-semitism sounds just about right.

I was watching Fox News today as they beat the Iran war drum. The flat out lies they were reporting on makes this story fairly easy to believe. It's a neo-con news network...They have a very strong propagandist agenda to get across to their oh so gullible viewers...They know all too well what they can and can't get away with. Very intelligent network as far as pushing an ideology goes, have to give them at least that much credit.

How about this: Most conservatives are not racists. In the U.S., most racists are conservative, but not all. In fact, some liberals are racists. Most liberals are not racists. It's almost as though being conservative and being liberal are independent from racism. Weird, huh?
However, the probable audience for these particular shenanigans are conservative racists, for a variety of geographical and political reasons that have nothing to do with your own conservatism.
Happy now?

Yeah I didn't take it as anti-semitism. Definitely classless though.

I don't see it visually, it's not in the comments, and not in the article. Or did i miss it.

Admittedly I added the Jewish angle myself and it wasn't reported in the story I linked (but someone may have mentioned it in the comments -- I didn't read them), but the imagery reminded my instantly of anti-Jewish cartoon caricatures. I showed the pictures to my wife, and she thought the same thing. The connection seemed obvious to me, but then again, I've seen plenty of Nazi Germany propaganda posters, so I immediately recognized the stereotype. I guess if you're not familiar with the anti-semitic Jewish caricature, it wouldn't be so obvious.
As Weiser Wonder pointed out, it's clear that Fox was trying to disparage the NYT by planting the image in their viewers' minds that it's "jew media".

That's good. I think.
Maybe it means this kind of moronic racism isn't as prevalent anymore?
Big noses and beady/sneaky looking eyes are "characteristics" that have been used to disparage and insult Jews forever. The yellow teeth may or may not (I don't know) have any "racial" undertones, but come on now.
I agree with a few other posters -- I am surprised that even FOX would try to pull this stunt. They are a hopeless bunch of fools to be sure, but this kind of thing is almost shocking. Didn't they think anyone would notice?

Agreed, those photoshops are an obvious throwback to the old Nazi propaganda cartoons for those who are familiar with it. Its absolutely sickening that a network could actually get away with this crap, and its even more sickening that people out there watch this network and take it seriously.

Exact same impression I got when I saw the images, before reading the post or even fully reading the article.
It was just too eerily close to some of the old propoganda cartoons used by the Nazi's.
I don't know what would be scarier, that they intentionally did this to mock Jews OR that they did it subconsciously
Either way, Fox News takes another step down, which is amazing since I thought it wasn't possible for them to be any more of a joke to 'news' or anything resembling reporting.

No thanks, I will happily take the word of those here. I don't really care to familiarize myself with racist garbage, historically significant or not.
