Default Mac Backup Software, suggestions for free?

Looking for something simple that would let me backup my wife's MBP to a network share, hopefully scheduled each night or whatever. I don't think versioning is necessary, though I guess it'd be nice.

Any suggestions for free software?

Don't you have Leopard? Time Machine wireless automatically backs up my entire HD (unless I tell it to skip a folder) every hour. Not sure there's a better solution out there.

But Time Machine doesn't work with a network share does it? I'm pretty sure I tried to set that up and it wouldn't show the share, and I found a hack that lets it show up but there were some posts about it not working properly.

Pretty sure it does now.

At my office I do a time machine backup to a networked OSX Server. I'm fairly certain you can setup a network drive to handle a time machine backup as well.

Is it with the newest OSX update that just came out? I tried it a few months ago and couldn't get it to see it. I can try it again I guess.
