So I have some kids at my house tonight and would like to take them to see the fireworks. What I'm wondering is where is a good spot to see them that doesn't involve going downtown to the Olympic plaza? They start at 10:45pm for anyone interested.

They'll start at 10:45, in the event they're not canceled due to the low clouds that is.

If you are in the south, you could come down to Okotoks and watch them - they are at 10:30 at Seaman Stadium.

I had no idea. I live in Chaparral which is about as close to Okotoks as you can get. Thanks for the info.
