Cutting Weight
Weight loss contest at work ends in 10 days. I'm behind and have to pull out all the stops for the official weigh in.
10 days what can I do to drop weight.
Going on a fruit/veggie meal plan.
Need some tips to drop like 10+ pounds a day or two before.
Strategies?
Tactics?

Depends how much work you want to put into it. Get one of those rubber track suits and hit the treadmill...layer up and hit a sauna..those are the usual UFC ways of cutting weight

People have killed themselves trying to dehydrate in order to hit a certain weight.
3500 calories equals 1lb weight loss. You would have to burn 35,000 calories to drop 10 lbs in 10 days. Not impossible, but VERY hard.

You can try a 3 day cleansing fast. The basic premise is..
2 days of raw fruits and vegetables, followed by 3 days of nothing but water, juice, and herbal tea. No orange or tomato juice though. The 'Max Veg" juice from Jugo Juice is excellent. Then followed by 2 days of raw fruits and vegetables again. Do it just before the weigh out when you are at your lowest weight.
As always you should consult your doctor before fasting..

I hear Mono is really good for losing weight. :P
10lbs is tough, if you are going to do the water approach don't start now, do it the day before the weigh in and prepare to feel like ass.

Massive enema. Drink a carton of Colon Blow the day before.

How much do you want to lose? Ten days isn't a whole lot of time. Losing more than about 5 lbs in that period of time isn't too realistic, depending how big you are now. Wake up, drink half a liter ice cold water and on an empty stomach, do 30 minutes vigorous cardio. Eat clean and lean during the day every 3 hours to keep your metabolism working. You'll lose 5 lbs.

Shave all your body hair. That could add up to an extra .5 lb.

Reduce carb intake to almost zero...only eat carbs before 1pm...no carbs after that. Ramp up physical excercise.

It works, but get ready for some pretty hellish mood swings. Throw in some cardio, black coffee and water, and you should lose AT LEAST 10 pounds in 7 days.

Put the carbs to zero.
Stay away from fruit.
Eat about 5 small meals a day consisting mostly of chicken, tuna or egg whites. Have a salad with low carb veggies (no corn or carrots or potatoes).
Do this and you'll probably lose 15 pounds in 10 days with about 6-8 coming off tomorrow night. The only bad thing about this is that you pee all the friggen time. I got up 1-2 times per night doing this.
Drink a lot of water too in the beginning.

With only 10 days left, its pretty hard to lose a lot of weight in that timespace in a healthy manner.
How far back are you?
Even on a crash diet you won't be able to lose more than a few pounds. For good advice you should watch the Kenny vs. Spenny episode on this. Hilarious and educational.
Keep in mind people hold a lot of weight in water and in their intestines. If you really want to win you could try an enima.
Be careful depending on your body type it might not be safe for you to lose a lot of weight anyway. Losing weight quickly is always an unhealthy idea anyway.

I really don't think its possible to burn 15 pounds in 10 days. Like someone else mentioned a pound of fat has 3500cals in it. The full grown male only uses about 2500 calories a day. So even if they were to eat absolutely nothing the most they could burn is about 2/3 of a pound a day. Even to lose a pound a day you would have to eat nothing and do 2-3 hours of cardio a day... you won't last long doing that.
Another example of hilarity and weight loss (I also don't recommend this one):

I think blankall is right here.
Put it this way, most normal males burn 2500 as a 'basic' BMR rate. Depending on your job, that number with go up. I'm assuming Killer works in an office environment, so chances are unless he moves around a lot, he doesn't burn more than 2700-3000 calories per day. He'd basically have to stop eating, plus burn 500 more calories per day through exercise, in order to lose 1lb per day. I'd say that is impossible.
The only way you could do it would be to dehydrate yourself....but like I've said before, people have died as a result of dropping too much water.

Well it would be some false water weight, but weight none the less.
Putting your body into Ketosis reduces your water retention.
