Define overheat? What temps are you running and on what kid of machine?

Macbooks tend to overheat a lot I've found without some tweaking. Best solution is SMC Fan Control.

Now if I could only figure why my Macbooks airport card keeps overheating randomly...

Mine did that a lot. Make sure you keep it on a hard surface like a glass table or counter, not on a couch or something, or on a pile of papers (like one of those desktop calendars) at work. And if you take it somewhere make sure you shut it down before you stuff it in a bag, I was just closing mine and leaving work, but the processor kept running and there's apparently no ventilation in a backpack...who knew?

I learned the hard way how to care for my computers.

i'd recommend get a can of compress air and blow the dust outta the vents.

Blow out the fan exhaust with compressed air.
