Default iPod Nano Driver?

I figure everyone on this part of the board is better with computers than I am so I figure this is as good a place to go as any.... I purchased an iPod nano today to make use of the nike ipod thing for running.... the problem is it won't register in iTunes. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling itunes and the same thing happens everytime... the screen just says "Connected - Eject before disconnecting".... windows vista says it has something to do with a driver and to insert a CD.... but it never came with a CD and the apple people say that all the drivers are in the iTunes download...

Has anyone ever solved this or should I just throw it out the window and save myself the frustrations?

Just gonna take a shot in the dark here:

Sorry if this doesn't help.

If you have any additional information (Operating System, other symptoms) I'll try to find something.

I might even suggest just returning it and then buying another one. It could just be a lemon.

if you're still having issues....
Just connect your ipod through winamp. Does the job for me anyways.
