Given that you already have a reasonably long zoom, you may want to look into a macro lens. Any good longer zoom will be quite expensive, especially if you want image stabilization. (However, long zooms can make surprisingly good macro lenses at the long end as long as the minimum focusing distance isn't too short. If you like taking closups of flowers or bugs, or neat textures like I do, a dedicated macro should be your next purchase I think.
