oh ya! I've seen that one, but forgot about it. That was a good film!

'The Namesake' just came out on DVD and deals with a lot of the same issues. It's totally serious though... no humour, yet it's got 'Kumar' from 'Harold & Kumar' in the lead role. Not bad...

Are any Leafs players actually in it, making cameos or anything?

I'll probably watch it some day when I'm hung over and it's on TBS at 2pm on a Sunday afternoon.
Don't have to wait long, I think it's on next Sunday.

I know Rob Blake is in it, but from the looks of it, they have actors playing most of the hockey players, Justin Timberlake and the black dude from 40 year old Virgin are the bigger players.

Yeah, I don't think producers bring her on for her stellar acting ability. Sin City made me mad, because she looked amazing in that cowgirl get-up. Although a movie I saw with her that I actually liked was a recent thriller called Awake. It looked like crap and had Hayden Christensen in it. Going into it, I was thinkin Worst movie ever, but I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't anything out of this world good or original, but it had me interested to see how it was gonna end, thats for sure. Good weekday rental.

Are you serious? I had to sit through this pile of garbage. Worse than Spider-man 3. I was pretty sure you had to have an IQ below 70 and/or be completely stoned to enjoy horrendous piece of crap.

Well. That just makes it suck so much more.

Has anyone ever wondered what goes through the mind of the person who reads this script, seems to find the premise hysterical and promising of riches and then signs the cheque?

Who are these people and why dont they know better? What do they feel like when they see the movie before its released? Is there a preposterously high suicide rate for people with this job?

As long as you never see "Awake" or "Fool's Gold" you should be able to maintain that opinion for a long time.

Hey, you don't like it, that's all fine and good, no way it was that bad. I'm not even saying it was anything special. But i think my expectations were so damn low that I ended up finding some of it pretty entertaining.

I liked Spider-Man 3. It was sloppy and didn't measure up to the other 2 but I enjoyed it. I endure ongoing ridicule for this, don't worry.

Have you not seen Date Movie? Rob Schneider in The Hot Chick? Dan In Real Life? Spider-Man 3 was poor but it isn't even in the same universe as those abominations.

The critics and I humbly disagree with you.

And Blissfully I shall. Although, Fool's Gold is making its appearance on the movie channels this month, and ya never know. Although, I always think back to your original thread regarding that movie's quality. It makes me chuckle.

First of all, I deny the existance of or comparison to, anything that is either "<Whatever> Movie" and Rob Schneider.

Havent seen Dan in Real life though.

Spider-Man 3 sucked, and if aliens do exist they are going to wipe out our miserable civilization for not abandoning Sam Raimi on an ice floe years ago.

Wow, it's got a worse rating on rottentomatoes than Semi Pro! I will not be watching Love Guru...

Colbert supposedly steals the movie, and from what I read, Justin Timberlake does well with his role as well.

The problem is that Mike Myers has the same schtick in every move. It can only go so far.

Maybe it just seems like that because he's been in 5 sequels by my count. There could be more, but these are the first ones that came to mind.

Austin Powers 2 and 3
Waynes World 2
Shrek 2 and 3

Oh come on this movie wasn't THAT bad. I thought Carrell pulled off the "dad" role pretty well.
