I think this is the make or break series for the Jays. Three games against the lowly Pirates. If anything less than winning 2 out of the 3 (esp with Halliday going tonight) then someone needs to get canned.

I bet Jason Bay lights them up and than JP talks about how he doesn't really like the game and that fans would be disappointed if the team acquired him, all he does is get on base and hit for power.

At the very least, JP's comments about Dunn should make for an interesting series against the Reds.
My speculation is that JP tried to acquire him. Dunn, who probably has the right to refuse going certain places as is in every player's contract of a certain veteran status, probably bashed JP and the Jays and refused the trade.

The Jays are just as lowly as the Pirates are. I wouldn't be surprised if the Pirates swept them.

"General manager J.P. Ricciardi is expected to join the team in Pittsburgh, where it is rumoured that the under-fire GM has been given the green light from club president Paul Godfrey to fire manager John Gibbons"
Personally If this move happens, I don't believe it will solve any problems. The guy who created this mess is JP and he should be the guy who takes the fall..... IMO

JP is a problem yes, but Gibbons is still useless and needs to go. Better now than later.

in my opinion the next manager (if Gibbons is fired) will not have any more success... The problem with this team is the offense........... I don't see how firing a manager will make this team hit.

It's too bad this team has turned into such a joke, the pitching could have been something special.

I like the move. Yes JP still needs to go, but anybody who's watched a good amount of games this season can tell the coaching staff was just downright awful. Gibbons did nothing. I honestly, 100% believe that I would be a better manager than John Gibbons. Sounds ridiculous I know, but he was THAT bad.
