With the 6th round Pick (121th) Hanna Sniper's EC and the G-String Band, selects in the “singer” category, from New Orleans, Louisiana, U.S. The legendary Louis Armstrong
Hanna Notes: Sorry fill in the rest later, just wanted to get the pick in. I drafted Mr Armstrong in the singer category although he would be a master in every other but for me… his singing is the most beautiful there is, I can’t listen to him sing without a big grin sweeping over me. He is the best.

Thanks, I think so too. The Real Thing is a great album, but I absolutely love their last 3:
Angel Dust
King for a Day, Fool for a Lifetime
Album of the Year.
With the 122nd pick, Creeping Death (socalwingfan) selects Mr. Roberto Agustin Miguel Santiago Trujillo Veracruz - AKA Robert Trujillo in the Bass Guitar category.
Quote:
Robert Trujillo (Roberto Agustín Miguel Santiago Samuel Trujillo Veracruz, born October 23, 1964) is a bassist, who has played in Suicidal Tendencies, Infectious Grooves, Black Label Society and Ozzy Osbourne before joining Metallica in 2003.
Although at times Robert Trujillo has been known to use a pick, he is one of the few popular bassists today who continues to use the finger picking method of playing the bass guitar in the majority of his work.
Robert Trujillo became Metallica's current bassist on February 24, 2003, after auditioning for Metallica and fitting right in with fellow band members James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, and Kirk Hammett so much that they offered him $1 million up front, to be their bassist, on top of the percentage he would earn by being in the band.

With my 6th pick in the draft, troutman's K-Tel Sound Explosion, selects in the Keyboard/Piano Category, from Saginaw, Michigan, Steveland Hardaway Judkins, aka STEVIE WONDER:
I was planning to go Mozart here, but was beaten to the punch. Rather than another classical artist, I'm happy to pick the incomparable Stevie Wonder.
Born Steveland Morris in Saginaw, Michigan in 1950, Wonder enters his fifth decade as one of the most prolific artists in music history, delivering 35 U.S. albums - 28 major studio releases - with album sales totaling more than 72 million units. The singer/songwriter has scored more than 30 Top Ten Hits, 11 #1 Pop singles, winning 19 Grammys (and a Lifetime Achievement Grammy in '96) and a host of other awards, including, most recently, Billboard's 2004 Century Award. His contribution to worldwide social and political change is just as impressive, with Wonder championing the effort to make Martin Luther King's birthday a national holiday, as well as becoming a driving force behind 1985's USA For Africa campaign.
Stevie Wonder is a much-beloved American icon and an indisputable genius not only of R&B but popular music in general. Blind virtually since birth, Wonder's heightened awareness of sound helped him create vibrant, colorful music teeming with life and ambition. Nearly everything he recorded bore the stamp of his sunny, joyous positivity; even when he addressed serious racial, social, and spiritual issues (which he did quite often in his prime), or sang about heartbreak and romantic uncertainty, an underlying sense of optimism and hope always seemed to emerge. Much like his inspiration, Ray Charles, Wonder had a voracious appetite for many different kinds of music, and refused to confine himself to any one sound or style. His best records were a richly eclectic brew of soul, funk, rock & roll, sophisticated Broadway/Tin Pan Alley-style pop, jazz, reggae, and African elements — and they weren't just stylistic exercises; Wonder took it all and forged it into his own personal form of expression. His range helped account for his broad-based appeal, but so did his unique, elastic voice, his peerless melodic facility, his gift for complex arrangements, and his taste for lovely, often sentimental ballads. Additionally, Wonder's pioneering use of synthesizers during the '70s changed the face of R&B; he employed a kaleidoscope of contrasting textures and voices that made him a virtual one-man band, all the while evoking a surprisingly organic warmth.
Sir Duke Just because a record has a groove, don't make it in the groove
Nice pick Hanna, I was going to try for him in the next round.
Ever since I played Fallout when I was younger I've been a fan of "A Kiss to Build a Dream On", which plays at the introduction. That lead to me to learn a little bit more about him. He really is a great musician.
Nice picks guys, haven't checked in for a few days!
With my 6th round pick, I am pleased to select Billy Cobham in the category of drummer.
From wikipedia: Coming to prominence in the late 1960s and early '70s with trumpeter Miles Davis and then with Mahavishnu Orchestra, Cobham is, in the words of critic Steve Huey, "generally acclaimed as fusion's greatest drummer,"[1] with an influential style that combines explosive power and exacting precision.
With the 122nd pick, Creeping Death (socalwingfan) selects Mr. Roberto Agustin Miguel Santiago Trujillo Veracruz - AKA Robert Trujillo in the Bass Guitar category.
Socal...Trujillo's playing on Jerry Cantrell's double album 'Degradation Trip' is outstanding. I'll see if I can find some video.
He didn't make videos for most of the songs on the record so some of these are fan videos. You get the music though.
Castaway
Solitude
Anger Rising
Psychotic Break

FooFighter15 is pleased to pick under the Canada category The Guess Who
Quote:
The Guess Who were inducted into the Canadian Recording Arts & Sciences (CARAS) Hall of Fame during the 1987 Juno Awards, and in 2001 members of The Guess Who were awarded doctorates from the University of Brandon (Manitoba). Also in 2001, they were inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame in Toronto and in 2002 received the Governor General's Performing Arts Awards and were the first artists to be inducted into the Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame, an honour normally reserved for music industry executives. Cummings and Bachman were inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2005.
I swear, I'm going to end up having to take freaking Anne Murray in the Canadian category.
